Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS - Final Game at Ritter/Playoffs <<<<<

Well that answers my question about standing room! Standing room makes for a much more intimidating arena to play in.

I would like to know how many people will be able to sit in the bowl and then I would also like to know how much standing room will be.

I would assume around 4,200 seats in bowl and another 1000 for standing. Please someone know!

I seem to recall that they have been talking 350 standing (probably 1 deep at the railing). From the most recent rendering (posted on the Polissini FB page) the only break at the railing would appear to be the 4 suites that will be on the west side of the bowl. The posted pictures sure make me look forward to the first game next season. Really does look like it will be an awesome place to enjoy a game.

Anything show a hint of handicap seating along the rail?

A lot of stadiums and venues reserve space along the rail for wheel chair and handicap seating so the site lines are not disturbed for people sitting on the other side of the aisle.

And lets not forget to reserve some space for the RIT Ice Tigers Cheerleaders! :D

There are two areas at the rail that are indented for handicap seating. on on the north west side and one on the south east side.

I have also seen these indented areas used by camera crews in other rinks (maybe because they were not needed by a fan) although I couldn't imagine a new rink that did not offer handicap accessibility/viewing. I would assume that would be in the building code.

The Americans with Disabilities Act would require that there be handicapped seating available.

Saw Hills and DeMike taking in the Geneseo - Nichols game tonight.

Gave some love to Greg Noyes on my AHA award picks. My complete rundown of postseason awards:

http://sbn.to/PsKA6J

It's amazing that a -14 can make second team. Just to go over painful numbers, RIT skaters on average were just under -8.5 with only two Tigers finishing above even. Lynch (+5) & Perron-Fontaine (+1). Top points producer was a -21.

Bar Tender give me a double of the strongest shot you got!

Couple years ago I saw DeMike get a Sub. I think it was Roast Beef :D

Plus the AHA requirement for four spots on the ice. Two by the blue lines and the rest behind the end lines, in the most obstructive location possible......no I'm not bitter about last week!

How dare you insult the intelligence of our physically handicapped fans. Calling them refs is just wrong.

Too funny

I certainly didn't mean for my bitterness to extend to any group of fans and for that, I apologize!

I too saw him getting that sub and I'm certain it was Roast Turkey.

Now, back to the hockey.....oh wait!

Not too surprising, RIT did not put anyone on the 3 all AHA teams. In spite of his plus/minus, I thought Colavecchia might get on 3rd team.

I feel like UConn may be starting to sweat a little heavy now. They're heading into a world of hurt in Hockey east, leaving their last AHA season without a regular title championship or a final spot at Blue Cross Arena.

What restaurant would you suggest for after the game dinner next Friday. .? Not sure where we are staying so location isn't a problem as long as it's in Rochester.
It's the first time ever for RMU and hope they give a good account of themselves.

Dinosaur BBQ is within walking distance of Blue Cross.

Tend to agree with this comment. I know they now have a recruiting advantage, and will take advantage of it. But that program was never terribly successful in AHA. Could be a tough jump for them.

Still, glad to see the conference is fulfilling ONE of its roles; providing a place to play while developing for the next step. Worked well for QU.

Before and after the games near Blue Cross, I'll agree that Dino BBQ is the way to go. Awesome food and a large beer selection. You may be in for a long wait though, it being a Friday night.

Not sure if you spend much time in the Rochester area, but if you get a chance try to get your hands on a garbage plate as well.

Descoteaux is suiting up with the Gwinnett Gladiators (ECHL) tonight. https://twitter.com/Deke0two/status/444506118094856192
He played well on Friday night. I saw our Glads team Prez in the tunnel after the game and he specifically mentioned him, asking me (in a kind of rhetorical way), "how did I like #2 tonight?" Like I said, he played very well in his first game.

Former Tiger Daniel Spivak is also on the Gladiators roster and has a goal! Check out this awesome headshot: http://echl.com/stats/player.php?id=4127
Spivak has been a solid defender for us all season. Seems to be a good team guy - I am very pleased to have him on the Glads.

Of course, that said, I hope y'all understand that I still cannot stand any of these guys when they have on the Tiggers sweater. :D
