Sweet, there's a chance RIT comes to CO twice! Not sure I'd like to see them have to win here, but... ya know, more hockey.

Some game location scenarios based off RIT beating HC next weekend:

RIT Win, Army - AIC - SH lose
Mercy vs RIT
Bentley vs Can
AF vs Niag
UCON vs RMU

RIT and SH Win, Army AIC lose
Mercy vs SH
Bentley vs RIT
AF vs Niag
UCON vs RMU

RIT SH and AIC Win, Army loses
Mercy vs AIC
Bentley vs SH
AF vs RIT
UCON vs RMU

RIT SH AIC and Army win
Mercy vs Army
Bentley vs AIC
AF vs SH
UCON vs RIT

RIT , Army, AIC Win - SH loses
Mercy vs Army
Bentley vs AIC
AF vs RIT
UCON vs Can

RIT , Army, SH Win - AIC loses
Mercy vs Army
Bentley vs SH
AF vs RIT
UCON vs Niag

Working and doing this so I might be off on one or two.

The OJHL announced it's regular season allstar teams, and Tiger Recruit Liam Kerins playing for North York is on the first team. http://ojhl.pointstreaksites.com/view/ojhl/news-21/news_136482

I've got a feeling that he's going to be the cream of this years class of recruits.

Joining Kerins on that list is Taylor Best who is Committed to Mercyhurst. And on the second team is Pat Egan. 31 Goals and 78 points in 51 games. Egan is a Rochester boy so you locals should send him some flyers...

Also on the list with College commitments are:

1st Team

Nick Desimone - Union
Michael Prapavessis - RPI

2nd Team

Mike Panowyk - Colgate
Brett Seney - Merrimack

Never really thought about it this way. However, there is a lot of space that can be leveled for a turf field right next to the soccer field/running track.

I think if that was the case then just make Tiger Stadium field turf. That is where you varsity teams play.

Maybe so, but what I want to know is where last night's intensity and sense of urgency (to WIN!) has been all season prior to the Saturday AFA game?(

I had a similar thought. Honestly thought you could have dropped in the Canadian Olympic team, RIT was not going to lose the last game at the Ritter. That left you feeling good, but than bad wondering the point you are making. I still am baffled that this team could dominate Michigan like they did in that second period and play the way the have for much of the season...

Was a nice way to close Ritter, unreal how no body wanted to leave and cool that RIT basically open the doors to the ice and said if you want, come on down...

Ehhh, a lot of the IM leagues and club teams use the turf field year round. While they obviously are lower priority, I can't imagine that going over well.

The turf field is coming up on the time it'll need replacing, one has to assume there's been conversations about turning it into a parking lot and putting the new turf in somewhere else on campus.
They'd better talk fast.
As LtPowers said, expecting the general public to come to campus and hoof it from S, D, or (even worse) E or F lots is not a good idea. We won't have to worry about too many sellouts if there isn't a good solution soon.
RITProf mentioned the possibility of expanding U lot where there is "some room" near the tennis courts. There better be a buttload of room over there. Currently U lot has about enough space for handicapped parking and not much else. The lots around Ritter get pretty full now with only a 2100 capacity. Where are all the cars for a 4200 crowd going to go?
I certainly assume the people in the know have had to give this some thought. It'd be nice to know what they're planning at this point. The season starts in just 7 short months.

Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS - Final Game at Ritter/Playoffs <<<<<

Perhaps it took playing a hated rival to get RIT back into the right mindset. If you look back through the last couple of pages of forum posts you'll see plenty of people commenting on how RIT had the effort and energy and seemed to be doing well, but couldn't get the job done. Perhaps that last bit of pride on the line, or showmanship, or whatever you want to call it that sparked between AFA and RIT is what we needed.
I don't remember too much about how the Tigers were doing well and coming up short. I remember a lot of excuses as to why they had been so bad.
I have been at all home games except for the NU games (weather) this year. I can honestly say that aside from the second period against UM and a couple periods against St. Lawrence, I have not seen that level of intensity, urgency, and high level of team defensive play out of the Tigers all season by a country mile. And that includes the games they won over Army and AIC.

I am jumping the gun here, but I think RIT right now can take Mercyhurst in Erie. Let's stay healthy and keep improving! RIT fans just need to make the trip and make their barn RIT's!
Kudos for the enthusiasm, but...
Yes you are jumping the gun.
One opponent at a time. They have to go on the road and beat a team they are 0-1-1 against this year (and those games were at home) twice before anyone can start thinking about the Quarter-Finals.

There's a pretty reasonably sized buttload of space over there ... could make U about the size of the pre-expansion S. Also, there is another buttload of space south of the turf field across Andrews. That could solve lots of problems. I haven't heard a thing though ... a parking garage was on the table at one point as well.

Also, the main entrance to the arena is to the North. I think the powers that be are expecting people to park in E and F (and D) on the north side and walk down the hill to the arena. It is far, but not really much farther than S.

Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS - Final Game at Ritter/Playoffs <<<<<

They can't expand across South across the street as they'd have to destroy part of the wetland which is protected and it has been mentioned many times (for many projects) that RIT cannot expand outwards anymore for this reason.

I could see them levelling and moving the Tennis courts if the problem is bad enough...like the turf field they can easily be slotted in somewhere else on campus and that would allow U-lot to essentially triple in size.

That's simply not true. Check out a map; expansion across the road, and even south of where I mentioned, has already happened. Every piece of land is not wetlands. Of course, if the wetlands were impacted, they would have to be replaced, which is not cheap or easy and not particularly effective environmentally. RIT could fill up those agricultural fields to the south if they wanted to; in fact one very early thought for an arena was to have it out there on the SW corner with it's own parking lots, etc. That, of course, would have been great for the public and not so great for students who live on campus.

Unlike most large universities, RIT is not landlocked.

I may make my buddy Greg Moss upset here, but the club teams and such need to take a backseat to Varsity sports.

At 6min in you can see Rotollo making that last save of the game then turn to the Canisius player. You know he's literally talking **** with a huge grin.

Yeah that was a waving goodbye jester to Ralph Cuddemi who I noticed had a lot of conversations going with a couple Tigers. He had a collision with Rotollo which may have started it, but boy were boys for most of the game...

Rotollo fire streak concerns me. Just seen to many Ron Hextals, when he played on edge he was great but to many times he went over the edge and it snow balled on him. Just worried about that happening with Mike, but so far he seems to be able to talk, get in his share of cheap shots, and make the saves. He will take some getting used too...

I personally love it, and it seems to fire him up and make him play better...and if that's the case I'm all for it.

I think a lot of it is just him being young and immature, as a freshmen. If you recall Madolora was a very emotional goalie, but it was a weakness in his game that he worked actively on correcting. Once he took the emotional side out of the equation, well we know how that turned out.

But everybody is different, maybe Rotolo feeds off that energy he gets from chirping and mixing it up with guys.

It looks like Conacher is coming back to Buffalo. I don't know if my body is ready to cheer for a Canisius player.

I don't think that will be much of an issue unless the Sabres find a Stamkos to put on a line with Conacher. As much as I admire Cory, being on that line made him. I think Ottawa will regret if not already giving Ben Bishop up for him. I thought it was a bad trade at the time...

He's a speedy winger who is high energy and likes to grind it out, something that the Sabres are lacking. Is he going to score at the pace he was with Stamkos? No...but that's not his role. He can be a productive 3rd or 4th line player. Even in Ottawa he was not playing particularly poorly...for the minutes they were giving him his scoring was decent.

Is RIT renting buses for the games in Massachusetts this weekend?

you mean fan buses? Doubtful. They don't even do fan buses to Canisius or Niagara anymore...
