I think you might be hitting the sauce too hard. It was 7-2 after 2 so McKay/Vallette could have only been -7 after 40, correct? Not defending anyone tonight, because it was a cluster, but lets try to keep things honest. Looking at the currently available box score Vallete is at -4 and McKay at -3. Curiously, a couple members of our top line are -3 while the rest of the top line is -1 or even which is what I find more interesting. A couple guys trying to be hero's and staying out too long or what?
Edit - derp, reading comprehension fail. Tom said combined -8 so that could have been possible before they scored 2 garbage time goals in the third.
To finish reading the Stat sheet. The pairing of Valette and McKay is a combine -8 after 40. That's a rough night...
