Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 88: What's in your stash?

Bought my first hockey stick today. The 6-yr-old needs somebody (other than the side of the building) to play catch with. This stick is a BEAST, baby! Cheap, wooden, and about forty-five pounds. :D

Anyway, you feel pretty cool walking down the street carrying a big-a55 stick, let me tell you.

Oatmeal makes an awesome breakfast, especially with walnuts, chopped apples, and dried cranberries.

Good morning, lodge. Felt good to sleep in for another hour or so today.

Oatmeal and raisins can both take a long walk off a short dock. ;)

Morning, Lodge. I really don't want to go to work today. Not that that's anything new, I guess.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 88: What's in your stash?

That's not exactly quality D-3 competition there.

that's why I need to get over and watch Georgetown ACHA-D2 play one of these days. I want to see how bad it is compared to low-level D3.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 88: What's in your stash?

I've watched the MCHA for two years. Generally that's been the weakest D-3 league over the past few years. Over the past two years Adrian has basically eaten that league for lunch and used the goalie's stick as a toothpick. The bottom half of the league is brutal. Northland won 1 game last year and I'm still trying to figure out how they won it. Adrian can hang double digits on those teams anytime they want, and on a good night they can get close to 20. Last night they put 9 on a team that most people think are going to finish 2nd in the league.

Bad D-3 hockey is, well, baaaad. However, I'm sure GLM will back me on this: if you can watch good, quality D-3 competition, it's well worth your time and money, no matter which league it is. I doubt you'll be disappointed. I've never seen club hockey, so I have no opinion on that.

I need beer, so I can't go to the grocery store for another 45 minutes. I might go get the patio furniture and put that away for the winter. It's supposed to be 73 today  and I figure it's the last nice day I'm going to have for a while.

Well, the calendar is on your side. It is the 8th of November. You're going to put that coat to good use.
