Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

It has to be battle hymn, it fits the thread way too well!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

NO.

Battle Hymn is good.

With the way that thread is going, one should be able to post several different songs in it for more shenanigans. The way that thing is going, it could end up being the next HG-YBI!! :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

Link to the MP3 for Battle Hymn is:

http://www.music.umn.edu/marchingband/songs/BattleHymn.mp3

Go pher it :D

And this might be the embed code...
Code:
<object><param name="src" value="http://www.music.umn.edu/marchingband/songs/BattleHymn.mp3" /><param name="autostart" value="true" /><param name="autoplay" value="true"/><param name="controller" value="true" /><embed src="http://www.music.umn.edu/marchingband/songs/BattleHymn.mp3" controller="true" autoplay="true" autostart="True" height="0" width="0" type="audio/mpeg" /></object>

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

So I met my first USCHO poster, and it was one of the Original Six* Smokin' Hot Chicks!

I met wolverineTrumpet and her band of Michigan fanatics at the Sullivan Arena here in Anchorage last Friday & Saturday, and it was a party. I remember Saturday better than Friday (the beer's fault, not mine), but we sat with a Michigan cheering section lustily led by wT yelling:

"Stick it in there!"
"You know they want it!"

I couldn't have been more smitten! The cowbell cheer is also a favorite. And wT: the kid sitting on the other side of Trey kept interrupting us saying: 'That Michigan girl is cute!' I told him to back off (which was doing you a favor, for two reasons: you already have a boyfriend, and because after working with the the kid all week I think he might be a serial-killer.)

Sadly, I have to depart this enchanted city on Saturday, without having seen snow. We did climb Mount Alyeska on Monday, and the views were spectacular. Now, some might say I polluted the clear mountain air when I lit my cigar, but I say I perfected the near-perfect moment.

All in all, I vote Anchorage as the city I most want to live in someday.

wT: It was great to meet you! Let's do that again some day!

* Technically, there were only five original Smokin' Hots, but Original Six Smokin' Hot Chicks just has such a great ring to it.

Between the Union thread and tonight's South Park, I'm in tears right now. :D

Here's the version I use - it makes it start automatically, loop forever, and invisible.

Code:
<EMBED src="http://www.mixedforyou.com/sound/American%20Wavs/Battle%20Hymn%20of%20the%20Republic2.wav" autostart=true loop=true volume=100 hidden=true><NOEMBED><BGSOUND src="/Battle%20Hymn%20of%20the%20Republic2.wav"></NOEMBED>

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

Found a .WAV version. I know that one will work.

Off I go. If I'm not back in 10 minutes, go back to whatever you were doing before.

and of course each time that post is quoted it starts up another wav of that song. So far i think 2 are running simultaneously. :D

I had to quote him. Do you know what I am saying?

Now, who wants to drop the PK Ditty?

Here it is, ready for your copypasta pleasure:

Code:
<EMBED src="http://www.nmubaseball.net/pkditty.wav" autostart=true loop=true volume=100 hidden=true><NOEMBED><BGSOUND src="/pkditty.wav"></NOEMBED>

Minor nerd alert.

You should really wrap your embed in object+param tags to make it more compatible with the new standards. But it will work the same way as long as you use the same values.

Embed itself is not supported by XHMTL.

It should wait until it is at least 20 posts away from the battle hymn. or 50, 100

You should really wrap your embed

That's what she said.

Yeah, your version works fine...just add "loop=true" somewhere in there for infinitely looping goodness.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

Oh jeeze. Now that we have the codes, how many threads are going to be embedded with songs?

Your next task is to go buy a PS3 already. I don't know anyone who has one yet. :p

Was the use of search really stopping most people from using it? :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

I'm glad that I was able to think of the battle hymn, but I wish I could have made it play by myself. Too bad that my computer skills are only slightly more advanced than those of a orangutan.

Better than mine.

I had something ready to go, but no way could I top Twitchy. My Lord, I'm still laughing.
