Spark? I'm in it, too. Looked for you at the later meet-n-greet today. :)

I went at 1. Only time I had today. Kind of interesting. Some real players in that room. I did the math, it’s something like the top 2-3% of Engineering.

Might be good to extend my network. I only ended up in a group of two at the end. Did you fill in your entire trio?

The networking opportunities should be often, people from every part of the company - geographically & discipline. I think the min requirement is a M1 rating.
Actually five of us, we kinda new each other from IATD.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 195: Who ends up at the RR Country Club for the summer 1st?

Yeah, I think it was just the M1. It’s kind of nice to be on it in year two instead of the first year. It sounds like they got their **** together.

the only thing that’s going to drive me nuts is the sociopathic hyper competitive people. It sounds like there’s a leaderboard with points or some nonesense. You just know people are going to completely miss the trees while they try to be #1. If I were a hiring manager I’d eliminate everyone in the top quartile if they applied for a position under me.

The underlined is just a bad idea. It puts the individual over everyone else. If I'm understanding this correctly, this thing is team-oriented? Well, I know there would be enough people gunning for #1, I could sit back and do the minimum, just enough to still be part of it, knowing that the ultra-competitive would do some work for me.

Looking forward to tomorrow. Get to work for a while in the morning, then north to St. Paul I go.

Will be on W. 7th watching the Masters at McGovern’s or Tom Reid’s more than likely.

Hope to see many of you this weekend.

Biddy and wT, best of luck to you guys.

Everyone talks about McG's or Reid's. When I am in that area for hockey, I much prefer the Liffey or Burger Moe's. I haven't had a chance to try the New Bohemia there, so can't comment on that location, but the Golden Valley NewBo is decent.

Morning, at the airport. Gonna be tough to continue on with my connection through Atlanta, gotta resist heading East to Augusta.

bbdl, got the email. I'd guess we'll probably join for atleast part of it. Talk to ya Saturday if not before.

Morning

Brisk 35 degrees this AM. But on our way to 60, and then back to 70s tomorrow!

The 2nd snow band cutting across the country later this week will just give us some rain.

I think I'd go to Augusta.

Ewe, glad you liked Travail. IMO, it is the best restaurant MSP has to offer, both in quality and presentation.

I guess for me it’s more about tradition than anything. Tom Reid’s is a hockey fan’s dream sports bar. Always Hockey on, amazing memorabilia, solid food, including real Canadian poutine, and a pretty good selection of beers.

McGovern’s has always had good food, and they run so efficiently with the large hockey crowds, and have decent TV set up depending where you’re sitting.

Many of the times I’m at these places we’re killing time, as we will be today, watching an event. (The Masters today. :))

Mornin’ y’all.

I’ll be in my purple gameworn #8 Brickley jersey today. If you see me, stop me!

Both McGovern's and Reids will be hosting team parties today. Consider yourself warned.

Yeah, likely will end up at McGovern’s with that being the Michigan party and not starting until later.

All I can tell you is I’m looking forward to a food day of beer, golf, and hockey. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 195: Who ends up at the RR Country Club for the summer 1st?

So with the Travail place, I'm looking at the site and a little confused - it happens with me and fancier restaurants. With the 4-course family meal for 2, is that price per couple including gratuity? The 20-course does not, but the wording for the 4-course is a little different.
