Ralph - you didn't have to post!! I literally got an email response from Rogie - he is who I told you I was going to ask. :)

The reason that I sent you the e-mail originally was that it wasn't public knowledge, so I could not post it. When Noresmen posted it on the RPI Off-Season thread it became public knowledge, so I could ask the entire BU contingent. Of course, so far only Rogie has responded, and as you know he hadn't heard.

He actually emailed me something different than what he posted. :) Also, Coach just confirmed it.

Good evening, Lodge.

Work sucked, co-worker had day off, but main building did send some help. Still rather busy, though. Gorgeous day out, and looks like nice weather all week. I'm safe to say it here, since only one person is a "crossover" on social media for friendship (and that crossover doesn't really post here anymore, and dunno if he even lurks), but found out a buddy is gonna be a grandpa. Congrats to him, his son/DIL are pretty cool people.

Putting together Mother's Day plans with bro. Meaning: we have no idea what we're gonna do, we'll figure out something.

Got my dishwasher in the house without dropping it, so I didn't have to teach the kids down the street some new words.

Good Morning Lodge!

coooool in 978 land. Hopefully it will warm up a bit. It was downright chilly and windy yesterday. The human vacuum cleaner is home. In less than 20 min the fridge was scoured clean. THere wasn't much in there to begin with but at least now I don't have to worry about wasting anything. Love my kid. Glad he is home.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #190: Springing Forward

Howdy Lodge. Having a call with the realtor peeps today about possibly putting in an offer for this condo. While I could totally see myself living there, I'm a little nervous about putting in an offer, having it accepted, and then putting my place on the market. It's not in any shape at the moment to be sold. Which means I'll be carrying two mortgages for a bit. Or not. I want to talk that process through. My concern is what is out there for purchase - this is the type of place I'm looking for. Top floor. No amenities like a pool or workout room (which I like). My commute will be manageable but take longer....which I know will be an issue going forward wherever I go.

Offers are due tomorrow at noon. Can't deal with it tonight as I have a 6:30 dentist appointment. To get a cavity filled. At my age!! Oy.

Good Evening, Lodge!

Inspection went well today. Some minor fixes that we will try to amend the purchase agreement. The other thing I would like to add to the amendment is to make sure no major damage is done during the moving out process. We are worried the person currently living there is going to trash the place. They are renting it out and they are not happy about moving. They have been nagging about everything. They were told 5 days in advance that the inspector will be coming on this date and this time. Nope. They didn't like it. If you are upset about moving, you could have bought the place. It more than likely would be cheaper than the rent they are currently paying. [/rant]

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #190: Springing Forward

I decided to not put in an offer. I'm just prepared right now to make this decision. But I'm going to really work to clean up my place to get it sell ready so the next time this happens it won't be that be that stressful.

Question not related to that.....so, I'm thinking of hosting my book club group next month and I texted a friend to ask her for a recipe. She's never given this out. It's not anything special. Is it weird to be so secretive about a simple recipe?

Not weird. See: family recipes.

Or any recipe for a popular dish (e.g. chili) that you feel you've "perfected" yourself, has won office competitions, etc.

Agreed. You feel a sense of ownership, even if it was some super-common recipe that you just tweaked a little.
