Good day. Got flipped off by a good friend of mine, ran into either other waiting for a stoplight, pure random, wasn't hanging out with him today. Hilarious (Dillo for the MN fans). Dreading the pure ice tomorrow on the roads. It's bad now, and supposed to be getting a touch worse.

Back to the grind today. Boss is going to be back. Not looking forward to it. Especially, when I have to tell her that the doctors are not going to do anything until January 24.

Boss just texted me wanting to know if I wanted to come in today and work 11a-11p instead of 7p-7a. I would normally jump at the chance but I just left the hospital at 745a (got home about 830) and I would have to head back at 10am. I wonder some times if management thinks before they ask these things. 24 hours of work with 4 hours "off" in between.

I'm off to sleep. Have a good day, Lodge.

Greetings Lodge. Back to work. On a Tuesday, no less. Ugh. I have 3pm physical therapy appointment this afternoon. Was planning to leave the office at 2:30 or so, then come back to the office and stay till 6. It's so quiet here, my boss said "Just go home from there!" OK then.

Doh. Of course not. You are a peg to put in a hole. Lived in Chelmsford (at the time 50 min away) from NEMCH. They routinely forced OT to make my shift 18 hrs and then expected me back for another 12h shift. I got injured after working 18h,getting out at noon, driving home for about an hour and needing to be back for a 12 h shift that same day. The crazy thing is there is all sorts of research going back 30 yrs showing how risky it is for nurses to do that yet they keep on asking it of them. :rolleyes: Good for you saying no.

Well, it's official. DHead Boss has been promoted to Big Boss. Lady Boss is now taking DHead Boss' place. Don't know if she was promoted from another building, or if she's new. Just got a quick intro today as she was being shown around my building. Dunno how to feel about DHB getting promoted; depends on how much time he'll have to over-micro-manage. Lady Boss seems nice, though. And the other big replacement (#3 in charge) seems to be doing well, and is a friendly guy. Wants to learn about everything before doing anything as far as decisions and such. He had asked me a TON of questions about my building and how things get done.

That being said, we got WHUPPED today, as expected, since it was after the holidays. Guessing the rest of the week will be the same.
