Colombia trip = not good

Fly to Bogota, take some Bombardier prop plane further up into the mountains, to a town with no hotels that I've ever heard of. From there, we have to drive 3 hours down the mountain, towards the interior rainforest to a place called La Hocha Camp. I tell this to my coworker that has been working with this product for years and years and his response was "Oh, yeah, in the 80's we used to sell hundreds of generators down there to the Medellin Cartel, to power their production camps". Lovely, ****ing lovely.

Be sure to take lots of pictures to share. If you make it back. :D

He started shooting this past spring, how long have you been shooting a shotgun? :p

He is starting to look at colleges with shooting teams now. Told him to look in-state or get his grades up enough to get a scholly.

I've been shooting for a while, but rarely shoot clays. I could actually be pretty dang good if I actually shot more than twice a year.

Morning Lodge.

Jr shot a 20/25 and a24/25 last night to start fall trap season. They give you a patch for 25/25. He missed #24 and got #25, I give him credit for not blowing up for the miss.
:o

Um no. I remember watching some movie when I was in college about people disappearing there. Scared the * out of me. I wouldn't go there if all I was doing was touching down and taking off again.

This might be a good time to review your life insurance policy.

Well, I probably don't have much choice in the matter. So I guess I'll suck it up and check some crazy cartel territory.

If they approach you, look confident, but not intimidating, and say, "He acostado a tu hermana muchas veces, ese."

Wait until you see your suitcase when you get back, it will be sealed and wrapped in plastic. One of my neighbors is from Colombia & I've picked them up at the airport a couple times after he visited. All kinds of DEA stickers and other fun stuff.

He brought back some kick a/ss coffee.....super turbo blend. He warned me to cut with American coffee or I'd be up for days and he wasn't too far off.

I'll donate $10. Just to say that "yeah, a buddy got kidnapped in Colombia once, helped pay the ransom." Now THAT'S a story.

I'm going to have to start sprinkling in some "eh's" in my speech. So the "I'm Canadian" is believable. Actually, I could probably pass as Canadian as I am now...

Remember Z = Zed, a Timmy = coffee, and even though it's pre-season you don't think the Leafs have a shot in hell to win The Cup. :D

Good evening Lodge.

Good luck bigblue. Drug cartels, guerrillas, coked up bush pilots, snakes and spiders. Sounds like a fun time. Quick......when is Canada Day?
