Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #167: Weather

I didn't realize you turned 65 already.

Hey now. If I were insanely rich, I'd have bought a converted Greyhound already, and would be basically living on the road, touring America/Canada. And I'm nowhere near 65 (and the peanut gallery better not utter a single word :p )

Time to find ye olde heating pad... Still not story time, but I did get thrown to the ground

Ice, not heat. Ice for fresh injuries, heat for old aches (in general).

Good Morning Lodge. Glad Jr is not sailing in the regatta today, I don't think I would have been up in time to drive him to White Bear Lake for an 8 AM start. We may go up there to watch a bit though so he's more prepared for next weekend's home regatta for his team.

Might stop by one of my projects today as they will be replacing a cooling tower with a big crane - always fun to see a big piece of equipment in the air (even though this one is not going very high).

Go big and get a converted Greyhound!

Seriously, if you have the money, they are amazing. A college roommate's parents converted them for a living. It's impressive what you can do with a bus.

A couple of my clients have class A motor homes worth between $300,000 and $500,000. They are plush but just a little bit out of my range.

I camped quite a bit growing up and it's about time to get my family into it as well.

A tent is out of the question. Probably looking into getting something pretty basic for starters.

Quote of the day. "Bug eyed fat Walrus". What a Montreal Canadians player called the Ottowa coach. I love playoff hockey. :)

I don't mind tents at all, but an RV would be nice.

You have to be 65 to go camping? I think all that number crunching prior to 4/15 is still messing with you. ;) I could go the tent route but fortunately I'm able to upgrade to the climate controlled variety.

What you're planning to do is not camping. That's RV'ing. You're only camping if you're sleeping under the stars, either either a sleeping bag or tent between you. If there's sheet metal, fiberglass or wood between you and the stars, it's something else entirely.

This is true.

Being active outdoors, camp fires, lake, fishing and all the other stuff that goes with it. I call it camping. You can call it whatever you want.

Hairdresser made with 7 minutes to spare if my self imposed I'm walking out at 10:30 if she still isn't here deadline. She was at the bakery picking up a birthday cake for one if her stylists and they screwed up her order big time. She was totally apologetic about being late.

Did she give you a discount?
