Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #163: Irish Eyes Smile

St Cloud and MN end up sharing the Cup, with SCSU failing to keep sole possession of first place. SCSU fans decide to whine about it instead of celebrate actually winning something. Adding to that, SCSU has a reputation for being MN's little whiny sister, much like Jan Brady was to Marcia Brady.

Edit: that is all I will say on this subject, and will keep any other comments on the D1 side. :)

Other version, the trophy was up in Bemidji where the gophers were playing for a share and not wherever SCSU was playing for the whole thing.

No, that's not the specific answer I was looking for.

This was!!

Sorry Brent. :) I got all that from years of being on the board. I knew there was something else specific about the trophy from reading Twitter but it was all "Stupid WCHA" kind of comments that I wasn't able to decipher.

Ah gotcha. The flipside was, MN never lost the trophy. Either way, the WCHA screwed up.

Thank you for making the point the WCHA screwed up. I am settled down for now. Final Five will be a different story. I want the other cup too.

I may regret this, but could one of you recap this Mac Cup thing for me?

Happy Sunday. No Mav, I'm here in Boston. :) I've sent some minions out to test you all.

Laundry, food shopping, possible movie later this afternoon.

Basically what Patman said.

1. We had a chance to win the Cup outright last Saturday against MTU...but the Cup was not in St. Cloud that night.
2. We won at least a share of the Cup on Friday night in Madison...still no Cup.
3. The Gophers clinched a share of the Cup last night...one of their coaches smuggled the Cup up to Bemidji in his 1994 Nissan Sport so they could have it.

But I'm too hung over to be angry.

Morning (by a minute or two).

That cup stuff is crazy. It should have at least been with SCSU last weekend and Friday, and then it could of went to Bemidji/MN game. Someone better write the apology note!

I swear there are two of those things. There could have been one in each town. I can't believe the fact that the WCHA isn't prepared for something like this...no...I lied. It's totally obvious that the WCHA would be unprepared for something like this. :)

Bank it taking forever with it decision to hire. There are only 2 candidates for this job, yet they have waited a week and a half now. If I don't hear something next week I will assume they aren't prepared to move forward. I call and talk to the recruiter once a week to get an update, and they just haven't got the go ahead to hire. Why seek candidates if you aren't actually hiring?

It's NaCHo problem anymore thankfully. ;)

Favorite part of Sunday mornings? Coffee and Arrested Development on IFC. :)
I bought Arrested Development on DVD a few months ago while it was discounted for something like $25 for the entire series. I still haven't watched it. Now I'm going to wait on watching it until I have a week off work after my shoulder surgery so I can have somethings to keep me occupied. I'm doing this with other shows and books, too.

This is sort of like a bait & switch, but really, you're just being baited, DL.

I suspect you will really like it.

I see the tears are still flowing this morning

No need for this here. It's tLodge and these types of responses don't go here. I did ask and got the answer, but I probably should have asked elsewhere to avoid this kind of situation. Apologies to all.

And now to completely change the subject to something that's more Lodge focused.....I need to find a way to create a cash register system for supermarkets that have a 12 Items or Less express line that makes the cash register stop and not take any more items after, say, 15 items. The mega huge supermarket I go to has one lane for 12 items or less that they make into three to speed up and get people through. It's very smart of them. They have an employee to manage the line and tell you which of the three registers to go to and I would think they would look at someone's carriage and go "Yeah, you have about 25 items there. Please go to one of the 36 other registers we have open." But because he did not do that, someone in front of me was allowed to go through a 12 Item or Less register. Someday I will create (or work with someone to create) that system so people who disregard that rule will get stuck and have to repack their carriage and go wait in another line.

Will that be the crying baby line?

HHT! UMD kicked UNO's *** tonight. Feeling great about how this team is playing and our chances in the playoffs.

I need a refill some mutant with anger issues took offense to the idea that I just can't freely take time off. Mutant goes by the name of "Patronick".
He needs to get a grip. Most of our fans are awesome. He makes me want to tell him to grow up and slap him simultaneously. After all the yrs he has watched hockey you think he might figure it out but I do not hold my breath. Do I need to ding him or should we just let his sanctimonious self be sanctimonious? Part of me thinks he would enjoy the attention and I don't want to do anything that makes him happy
