Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #153: Condiments, anyone?

Remember the old "Wee in the shower" discussion? I'm designing a building system with golf clubhouse showers. Due to the arid environment we want to reclaim the gray water for irrigation. So please don't wee in these showers as we don't want that wee on the shrubs.

Given the volume of water, any urine would be diluted to the point that it isn't going to harm the plants. You could mix in a fair amount of the liquid waste from the regular sanitary system and not hurt the plants, but I'm sure that the members using the course may not like the idea that the course is effectively a giant septic system for human waste.

August 13th.
Hmmmmm...... Darn, I'm working that day.

So I was in my storage room and saw my hockey bag on the floor. Then I noticed that it was full. My stuff was in there still from the last time I'd played back in early June. Whoops. It's now making an awful racket in my dryer.
Oh, that stuff had to stink!!!

I honestly haven't studied the differences in nitrogen content between various species' urine. :p

For what its worth, nitrogen is a major nutrient in manure, and is one of the reasons it is valuable as fertilizer. There are other nutrients too, but when it comes to corn, nitrogen is king.
Right, plus, you would have it all pretty well diluted just from all of the shower water. If nothing more, it would just be about like giving the shrubs watered down gatorade, with a little soap in it.

Go ask Haula where he went wee at and see if it burnt the grass. :D

That's because the sales people and management live in a alternate reality where the physical laws that govern the space-time continuum do not apply.

"Application of Urea to Growing Crops
Urea can be applied to sod crops, winter wheat. or other small grains. This application, however, should be made during cool seasons. During warm periods (60 degrees F or above), urea in contact with vegetative material will tend to give off ammonia.

If urea must be applied on grass pastures in the summer, apply when there is a high probability of rainfall."

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #153: Condiments, anyone?

Got my results back from my physical and I'm AOK. I got my results of my cholesterol test and I don't know if it's good or not. I'm assuming that since I got an OK from the doctor and there were no "you need to watch your cholesterol" notes that the numbers are fine.

Well, yes, that is why we apply urea either in the fall before it snows or in the spring, prior to planting. Though, it is usually more economical to use anhydrous amonia.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #153: Condiments, anyone?

There was no point in staying at work, so I went home, and I'm sitting on the deck, enjoying the beautiful weather while I get my work done. And yes, I am actually getting some work done.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #153: Condiments, anyone?

Sitting here trying to do my German homework. We're supposed to pick one of the 50 videos here http://www.interviewproject.de/videos, and report on what they are saying. It's an exercise in using Subjunctive-I which is used for indirect quoting. A rather odd collection of people. Thankfully one can turn on subtitles since a lot of the regional accents are quite thick.

I finished! What a pain.

Checking in from a buddies cabin in Cumberland WI. The bass, crappies and bluegills seem to like this weather.
