Really, no "rubber" brands on the list? Unfortunately I can't remember the funny answers on the Newlywed Game to "What is your husband's favorite condiment?"

Hey Lodge. I just woke up from my post Lasik nap, eyes still feel a little weird, but that is supposed to go away after 24 hours. I can see better than 20/20 now, which is pretty sweet.

Patman, I wanted to go to the Wild prospect scrimmage...there were 6500 people there last night, and on Sunday they expect more.

Reminds me of an exchange in the movie F.I.S.T.: "Do you want to invest in condominiums?" Stallone, "No. I don't use those things." Which he recycled in one of the Rocky movies.

Friday the 13th. Yay. Got to work. Moved the recycle bucket and the plastic file drawer that it was leaning against just crumpled before me spewing things. Then the computer crashed. Then the lipid machine was spitting out numbers that should be impossible. Then the people were all crazy. I am glad it is done.

MNS, I have my follow up appointment tomorrow at 9am. Do you want to meet somewhere for drinks/lunch at 11-12, then we can figure out what or where to go from there? Anyone else is welcome to show up also.

When I had it done, my eyes were quite scratchy for the rest of the day, and were fine the next day. It was great to toss the glasses! Read the fine print on that lifetime guarantee - you are probably required to have annual checkups.

Yeah, I do have to have annual exams, but they don't need to be at the Lasik place, just at a licensed optomitrist (is that the right word?). But that shouldn't be too much of a problem for me.

Scratchy is a good description of what they are now. For about 5 hours after they were really bad, and very watery, which is why I was supposed to take a nap, which definitely helped. Now they're still watery and scratchy, but its not bad enough to keep me from wanting to use them. I do have to where sunglasses for a week straight, because I am always rubbing my eyes, which is a big no-no after Lasik.

Are you sure you don't have to go back to the Lasik place? I checked into having a "tune-up" a few years after the initial procedure and they told me that since I didn't go back to them every year, I wasn't eligible. I'm sure that the policy varies with the company. And I had it done in 2000 and my vision now is 20/40, so no big deal.

They specifically said that I didn't have to have my yearly checkups there, as long as I have them at a licensed optometrist. But, as long as I'm in the Twin Cities, I will keep going back there for them.
