I've never understood wax lips. What's the point? Are you supposed to eat them for some reason or another? I know it's not for the taste.


And they have apple cider flavored candy corn now. Someone brought it into work last week.

We had our first Men's league game tonight..holy crap was I out of shape. It felt great to get back out there though, it was fun. After our game, it's our preseason, btw, we were asked to play one more, as a team didn't show...7 of us stayed..I'm laying in bed and I'm ready to sleep til noon tomorrow. Felt amazing to get such a good workout in.

This is why I can't have nice things. In keeping with the 'Deer hate HP1015' theme of the weekend, my mom went and whacked one on her way home from syracuse in my car. Looks like its only cosmetic damage to the grill (gone) foglight (not working) and left front bumper (cracked in a couple places). She doesn't think there is anything wrong beyond that from what she could see, but **** not what I wanted to hear today.

It has 6 weeks to get fixed, but it couldn't go 4 days after the upgrades

In Houston finally at my company training center, let the 6am days begin tomorrow for the next 6 weeks!

My LEDs are 95 percent installed. Just missing a few that are soldered/stapled funny that I have to figure out how to get at. Posted pics over in the video game thread.

I'm glad there was a holiday nearby when starting this thread. I was out of ideas for a new poll.

JF, which did you mean by Dots http://www.tootsie.com/products.php?pid=129 or http://www.blueribbongeneralstore.net/882-p-Candy.html? I suspect that you meant the first one although I also liked the second as a kid. (They seem to also be called buttons, but I called them dots.)

I meant the ones that come on a sheet of paper.

I figured that you meant the others. Do they still sell the ones that come on shheets of paper in stores? I used to like them as a child, even though it was sometimes hard to eat them without also getting some of the paper.

Yep they do. There is a candy store by my work that sells them. Although as a kid it seemed like they came off a roll of paper and the clerk tore off your sheet. Now they come pre-packaged, so you get a set amount of paper.

Well, that is a complete fail. I sure as hell went out in '91, and that was worse that anything you guys got this weekend, and it happened on Halloween, not 2 days before.

Kid's team had first scrimmage last night, but jr. did not play. He took a spill in practice Saturday night and displayed some mild concussion symptoms. May have to get him checked out tonight, or just take a week off. Be a bummer if he has to miss the opener on Friday - especially since I'm meeting a buddy at lunch to seel him my Gophers-Sue tickets for Friday night.

Edit: Had to sell the Gopher tix since jr's opener is scheduled for Friday night.
