Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 127: So This is the New Year...

I remember seeing (20 years ago) that across the US the top 3 ice cream flavors were:

1) vanilla
2) chocolate
3) strawberry

except for New England! where it was:

1) vanilla
2) chocolate
3) coffee.

Does that sound better?
Spot on. Except vanilla is third.

I will eat vanilla but of all the options regarding ice cream flavors.........vanilla is the last option. :)

I don't hate vanilla. However, if somebody gave me a bowl of vanilla ice cream topped with raisins and oatmeal I would probably blow chow. ;)

If I play at the posters game.........somebody might want to have a camera available..........:p (think s&ss covered by a nut cup) :D
I like oatmeal, raisins and vanilla ice cream but that would make me blow chow too.

I could leave the visual of the ss and nut cup behind

Best motherly advice ever given: "moral of the story.....don't trust *****es. they really don't care if they screw you over."

In other news, Charter Communications, and my roommates from 2 years ago can eat a giant bag of dicks.
Well then, tell us how you really feel....

Back from work. New office manager. She is the real deal. Thank you God!!! I am ready to be retired anyway!

You never know what kind of trash your local disgruntled postal worker is going to deliver. In today's offering was an invitation to participate in the Bernie Madoff Liquidation sale. Yes, I'm serious.

Hmmm, maybe at a deep discount I can buy some of the money Bernie stole from people. Maybe even stole from some of you folks.

Just tried to make hot water cornbread and almost set myself and the kitchen ablaze. There's now a huge cloud of smoke hanging in the kitchen... got the ceiling fan and the range fan going in an effort to clear the air...

I had Famous Dave's for dinner. Delicious!

Had Mild BBQ Wings for an app, then had the Texas Beef Brisket with Mac N Cheese, Beans, Corn on cob, Cornbread, Texas Toast and a Newcastle to wash it down.

Mmmm, cornbread. Next time I make it, I'll stick to baking it. The hot water method is beyond me at this time.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 127: So This is the New Year...

Fun at the dentist today... I could survive the fillings and the widsom tooth extraction (hasn't happened yet) and the deep cleaning... but the need for gold fillings on 3 teeth costing (post-insurance) $500 a piece... GROAN... the good news is that they said I can space it out over years... the bad news is that I will need it done.

Nevertheless, and I hope I stick to it... I need to take better care of my teeth. One more thing to pile on to the rest... I hope this work pays off one of these days.

That sounds awesome. :)

We went to the restaurant at Clyde Park tonight. Interesting place, great food. It's not often I feel really satisfied after a salad, but tonight was one of those times. It was the Four Seasons Salad: grilled chicken, spring mix, orange segments, raspberries, bleu cheese, and a house made vinaigrette. Quite good.
Then we went to the Duluth East/Grand Rapids hockey game. OK, now I get why you all make such a big deal about high school hockey in this state. That was by far the best played and most exciting high school game I have ever seen.

I had Famous Daves today too. Epic

I sorta had Famous Dave's a couple days ago. The sales reps had a bunch of leftover cornmuffins. Yeah, you don't think I hoarded those? FD's has friggin' awesome cornmuffins.

This. I also really like the Wilbur Beans and their brisket.

Now I want famous daves!

Diva, you two will have to come down for the tournament, if you haven't seen 20,000 people watching a state championship game you haven't seen anything yet. You won't be disappointed.

it's like 2002 all over again. Incredible.

(ok, that's a stretch but it's still awesome.)

The cornmuffins are dam good. I brought the kids to FD's a couple weeks ago....good stuff.
The cafeteria at mother mining was redone and finally reopened. Part of the new looks is bringing in "guest" restaurants, today was Rudolph's and earlier this week Boca Chica was in......with their fried tacos. Love it. :)

Screw you. Seriously. We have Aramark. (Acutally, I kinda like the food down in 116 in CG. Not too expensive either.)

Its is probably my favorite sporting event of the year (as long as none of my teams are in other sporting events), better than frozen 4, world series, super bowl, stanley cup finals...

Aramark still manages the cafe and most of the food comes from them but it is nice to have an "outside" option. I've been to the Chemolite (I'm old school :) ) several times but have only actually been inside the building once and was mostly down there at night for reflective testing/selling on the track. I miss that business....
