Over the last 6 months or so I have been assigned the task at work of examining staffing models within the organization. The process has been stressful to say the least. Yesterday corporate wide 50 people were let go and I had the responsibility of communicating with 6 of those individuals who had a combined 165 years of service with the company.

Morning!

Lots of new stuff going on for board today. I added Brenthoven as a friend (as a test!) I hope he accepts.

Also noticed they got rid of the private message text at the top of the page.

I always check my email before I hit the boards, and I was wondering what that was. I deleted it, because of that. Nothing personal.

So, I'm going to assume that the friends thing is about as useful as the rep thing.

There used to be a friends feature (or something like it) along with the ignore list. If you added someone to your friend list they would show up in the main user listing with a + next to their name.

This way a quick scan of all users online could show you which of your friends were online at the same time.

There used to be a friends feature (or something like it) along with the ignore list. If you added someone to your friend list they would show up in the main user listing with a + next to their name.

This way a quick scan of all users online could show you which of your friends were online at the same time.

Has "ignore" disappeared?

Hi tLodge! Hope everyone is having a good day -- or as good of a day as you can have for a Tuesday.

I mentioned this when I killed the previous thread, at my son's school every senior is required to give a speech in front of the entire student body and today was his day. He did an outstanding job & I could not be more proud, it was really fun to watch.

Good for him!

I think we need to start a social group for Gopher Arrogance!

There used to be a friends feature (or something like it) along with the ignore list. If you added someone to your friend list they would show up in the main user listing with a + next to their name.

This way a quick scan of all users online could show you which of your friends were online at the same time.

The + feature is back. I can see a + next to Goldy's name.

Yeah, I saw that the three people I used to have +'ed are no longer, but in my friends list it asks if I want to friend them.
