Good morning tLodge, I'm tired today as well.

Bob - Hope you feel better!

Nothing exciting here today. More cleaning and unpacking on tap, then a nap, then work. Yay.

Good morning. I find myself battling a fever this morning and my energy level is rather low. I hope things improve shortly.
How were the mountains for you this weekend? Was the weather good for the concert? I was in Crested Butte Sunday-Monday, very nice.

Well he's had no health complaints for nearly 7 years now so he's not feeling bad.

Ralph makes excellent polls. He does have practice.

Greetings from my sauna - er, apartment. Of all the days to work from home...

First day of vacation, and last day that I can sleep in until the weekend. They're going to start wrecking the bathroom at 8 AM tomorrow, and it's going to be 95 tomorrow. Great. I want to play golf, but I'm not going out there and getting a heat stroke.

Hey WTW. Great fun. Had fourteen family members staying/visiting with us at various points throughout the weekend. Terrific weather. The NRO concert featured "The Music of Hollywood." Oustanding. My wife and I are in town this week and weekend for a family wedding and events surrounding it. The following weekend we'll be making our annual summer trip to The Butte as well. My wife lived there for four years when the town's population was approximately 250. Her dearest friend in life is a Crested Butte native, born and raised there. Still maintains a house there as well as in Delta. Crested Butte holds a most special place in my wife's heart and it's always a treat to go there with her.

We have some good friends from Houston who spend several weeks there each summer and we'll do some high country off-road jeeping with them. Maybe the Devil's Punchbowl this year.

We're going to play one of my favorite golf courses as well, Dos Rios, in Gunnison. Really looking forward to the trip.

Hi, Lodge! I worked through the weekend, and have the day off today. Sadly, FM had the weekend off and had to work today, so he headed back to Houghton.

Solution: go to Houghton with him. :D

EDIT: Swanted - you're absolutely right. My "weekends" are usually even Monday-Tuesday, but it's Tuesday-Wednesday this week. :o

I have a "weekend" next Monday/Tuesday, so I'm heading up Sunday night. I have plans tonight--my friends are still all up in a tizzy because there is a BWW in Marquette, and so we're all going there tonight.

If you drive the Devil's Punchbowl I want to hear about it. Do you travel southbound (Marble-Schofield Pass-Gothic), or northbound?

Whatever you do, make sure you don't set your parking brake on a steep incline and get out to take a picture. Your vehicle and family may not be there when you turn around to take the shot!

Ah, the excitement of small town life. ;)

(not that I wouldn't be excited that BDubs is in town - they're quality, especially for the UP where only a few places know how to make good wings.)

Like the DT? I wouldn't go to B Dubs if I could get DT wings.

As I said, we'll be meeting friends from Houston in The Butte. My wife has known one of those people for forty years as they worked together way back when. He started driving off-road jeep trails decades before they became known as such. He knows the roads as well as anyone who off-roads in the that part of Colorado. We've driven the Punchbowl northbound and southbound. As far as my wife is concerned, she won't stay in the jeep over the most harrowing parts of the trip. She simply gets out and walks. :)

I can say, without hesitation, whether we make the trip from the north or south [or drive another piece of terrain] it will be an uneventful journey as our friend is an impeccably careful driver.

There are some terrific sights to be seen in that part of the state and many of them can only be afforded you by off-road vehicles. We always relish the time we get to spend in The Butte. And dinner this year at Le Bosquet!! :D

They're why I qualified my statement. :D

The DT's wings are better, but I do like BDub's variety of sauces.
