Legal: reading is good. I need to hit the bookstore one of these days, as there are a couple books out there I really wanna read, starting with "The Code."

:) Right now I'm doing a bunch of non-fiction reading. I managed to get a copy of Supreme Power: Franklin Roosevelt vs. The Supreme Court from the library as soon as it was released.

Nice!

I prefer non-fiction these days, unless it's something that really makes you think/is out there. Not that I read a whole lot :o but when I do.....

Another one on my list (well, it's non-specific, since I have to look into it more) is a book on the Three Kingdoms of China. The synopsis I got from Wiki piqued my curiosity, and there's a John Woo movie out (Red Cliff; from what I hear the international version is the one to see, which clocks in at 5 hours) that deals with the time period immediately before the Three Kingdoms, and it looks awesome.

Funny thing that the book that got me thinking about reading was a book about Economics... How Capitalism Saved America. And the book is as much about the politics of the time as much as the law.

But yeah, I'm a law/economics/history nerd.

Brent - hmm... I might have to add that to the reading list.

Good Afternoon, Lodge!

So the Craft Fair went well. I broke even and made $8. That will be very well spent at the bar tonight.

At the fair, I saw this person that looked like the female version of George Wendt. That is f*ing crazy!

Her name was Norma

She was a show girl.....

wait....Lola. Her name was Lola. Sorry.

Hi kids. I hate when I immediately click on a poll thread not realizing it's the new one when I didn't see the end of the old one. Didn't realize the other one was close to closing. Went back to read, and all I have to say is...

I'm SO proud of my little sis!!!

Hope you're feeling OK today 'diva. :)

Checked into the hotel earlier today. Walked to the convention center, checked out the progress of our booth. Looks good. Walked up and down Summer Street where we have banners out - they look awesome. Went back to meet with my co-workers for a conference call about table assignments at the big dinner on Monday. It was like doing seating assignments for a wedding. Then my co-worker, who is the person responsible for everything with regards to our presence at this conference, gets an email from one of the big wigs that one of his customers forgot her tickets to the Red Sox game (we're hosting some customers at tomorrow's game) and she needs to take care of this. She was a little stressed, so I told her "They have a game tonight - there are people at Fenway. Let me try." And managed to call around enough to get a live person who tracked down the person she needed to speak to and we got it all straightened out. Then she gets another email right then from the bigwig asking if the issue was resolved. I told her to email him, tell him that you got a voicemail and the guy said he could take care of it and he would call you once the game got underway (after 7pm)to tell you what to do. And make said bigwig stew for a few hours. :)

It's gonne be a fun few days, I can just tell! I'm having a few drinks tonight.

No gardening option in the pole?:(

Back from the yard sale. My antibiotic made me sun sensitive. I loof like a cherry and I was under an umbrella.:(

After toting all the stuff to the end of the road I only made 25$. Lil made 40+. It was the weirdest yard sale I have ever been a part of. People were living by braille. Lots of touching picking up but no one was buying anything from anyone. Lil had toys in great shape that last yr would have made him rich. This yr people wanted pay 5 bucks for stuff that is is pristine condition and would cost 100$ at a store. Consignment shop it is.

I know It'll disappoint brent, but I've found a way to be somewhat productive today. :p

rode exercise bike, broke exercise bike
took apart exercise bike and diagnosed problem
finished laundry
went to the greatest store on earth to find stuff to fix exercise bike
bought a puppy collar, washer, some pop rivets, and super glue to use to fix the exercise bike (and a shop-vac because I didn't have one)
washed my truck
went to chipotle
got back in time to see OT in the Blackhawks game :D
now I'm going to fix the exercise bike
