'diva, it sounds like that guy is an A-1 arsehole and you should get a guy to start to be friends with her and have said guy find a way to sweep her off her feet. Dungeon Master Döuchenuts won't stand a chance.

Well, kind of. She wants to get in better shape before their wedding (not that she's overweight at all, just out of shape). IIRC, it was purchased for the two of them, but she didn't really feel comfortable using it over there in front of his roommate and he really didn't use it much anyway, so it migrated over here. The funny part is that she's over there ALL THE TIME, so now it just sits here.
He is being a dik about her eating habits. He ripped me a new one when I suggested WALKING to go get ice cream (mind you, the ice cream place I suggested was over a mile away) because she "can't be eating that stuff." There was no rationalizing with him--no "well, we'd be walking 2 miles round trip for this" or "there are small options" or anything like that. NO rationalizing. Last time they had their nerd D&D night over here? Pizza was ordered for everyone, but he announced that a salad needed to be ordered for her. I wanted to backhand him through the nearest wall. (And, thanks to the WiiFit, I just might be able to now. )

I know I have posted this before but I am going to vent/whine/rant a little bit so I apologize in advance.

Having to deal with a srained ankle comes with the territory for little g. On one hand this is a good thing because it means that he is mobile and moving around and being physical. On the other hand it is a bad thing because by being physical/mobile he is hard on his body and therefore is causing stress on all his joints and muscles and bones etc. As little g grows he will no doubt have a body that is worn and much older than his actual age.

Due to Little g's disability dealing with sprained ankles is potentially just the beginning of having to deal with stuff of this nature. Doctors have warned us that eventually we will be dealing with all sorts of stuff like hips or shoulders popping out of place.

For lack of a better word that f' ing sucks.

End of rant.

No apologies necessary. Beauty of the Lodge is that there is always someone here to listen. My thoughts are with you. Just try to remember that "this, too, will pass" regarding the ankle.

That's outstanding. That tops my dream a few years ago of sitting next to legal and Quiz in a church while some nun was telling us that we were all going to hell.

Hello from my apartment. Allergies are in full swing, my whole body itches and I had to take out my contacts before I clawed out my eyes. Unfortunately, I have to keep the doors and windows open to continue to air out the apartment. Lose, lose. On the plus side, I got a 94 (after some help from the curve) on my genetics exam! Of course, I kinda feel like I cheated since my grade before the curve was a 79.

Don't just blame him. He is obviously a jerk, but I believe that the people that let themselves be walked all over deserve some criticism as well.

This is true. I do want to talk to her about the way he speaks to her sometimes, as I don't think it's all that respectful. He's never outright mean or insulting, but he does talk to her like she's a petulant child sometimes, and I don't think that's how you address someone that you're supposed to view as a partner, and if she's accepting that from him now, what is going to happen down the road? However, very few people will accept any kind of relationship advice from me.

In other news, since my plans for this summer changed drastically in the last few weeks, I got a lock on getting my job at the campground back. Now to reconnoiter living arrangements...

Hey shot - the CD & I are thinking of bringing the lad & lass to Breckenridge/Dillon area next March - any suggestions for condos and/or like places would be appreciated. Four for sure (my kids will be 17 & !5) and maybe 6 if my parents join us. We're obviously very early in the process and really trying to decide between Park City UT or that part of CO - I am just poking around (that's what she said) some websites trying to get an idea of what's out there and prices.

Yeah, that's more like sympathy extra credit.

One of my current profs insists that the class average on every exam has to be an 85, and he "curves" it as such. One of those types who doesn't believe in objective exams.

Oh, I forgot to tell everyone. When I was near Philly on Thursday morning (King of Prussia, PA), I stopped at the mall first thing while the wife was getting showered, dressed, etc. There was a line waiting to get into Williams-Sonoma. I went down to check it out and they were having a book signing from a Food Network star. They had a stack of books out there from someone named Giada.

Unfortunately we had to get on the road and couldn't stay around for the book signing.

Nah, the wife would have told me there was no way we'd stick around to see Giada. My son already has autographed books from Bobby Flay and the "BAM!" guy.

I know she has a nice rack, but there is no way I was sticking around King of ****ing Prussia mall for several hours standing in line to just see the rack. I could go to a strip club and see more of more racks if that was my goal.

And I walk to go get ice cream all the time! Between the nice summer weather and the satisfation of an ice cream cone, the only way to top that summer activity is a night at the drive in.

Yeah, it was weird. We were just sitting there in a church. You were looking straight ahead and wouldn't even acknowledge me. I have no idea what Quiz was doing. I was trying to make people laugh, and the nun was condemning us all to hell.

I had another one where Shirtless Bob was sitting in my office when I was telling a client that I didn't like what I really thought of him over the phone, and I was doing so in no uncertain terms.

I think Scarlett was in another one, but I can't remember that one.

I've had a few posters make cameos in my sleep. The only thing I can figure is that I spend too much time here right before I go to sleep.

Sometimes with relationships like that it is hard to even approach the person. I have one friend that has a boyfriend I dont particularlly care for and it turns out none of my other friends like him. But none of us say anything because we are sure she is so far in denail about how much he sucks that she will just be ****ed at us. Sometimes you cant make people see what they are not ready to see. I still occasionally wonder if I should tell her, maybe some night of heavy drinking it will come out. Or just after I finish a marathon cause I am sure his d@uchiness will **** me off that day too and I will be too tired to care.

On another note, I just made an appointment for tomorrow night at CrossFit. Yeahhhhhh!
