Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 105: 2010 Assessment

I know we have plenty of posters in THE LODGE who live in and around the Twin Cities. A question for you folks: is the Minnesota high school hockey tourney still going on? Is it over? Who won? Which teams are still alive in the largest classifiaction? Just wondering, thanks. :)

It ended last Saturday - It's always at the X the weekend before the Final Five.

Edina defeated Minnetonka for the AA title. Hill-Murray defeated Apple Valley for 3rd place.
Breck defeated Hermantown for the A title.

If it was, that'd be problematic for the WCHA's tournament. :p

Edina won the AA title and Breck won the A title. The tournament started last Wednesday and ended last Saturday night.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 105: 2010 Assessment

Good morning kids. Feelin' fine, despite the drinking last night. Posting on a Blackberry after having had a few is quite a challenge. :o

Anyhoo - I need a refill. Our fine Maine friend KnowItAll dinged me for this post. with this comment:

 At least he didn't call me the c-word again.

There's something very wrong with him. He deletes posts with regularity and has this fascination with Sill and Czuba (two former Maine players). He used to post reasonable things but as time has gone by his posts have become more and more rambling in nature.

He often calls me names (then deletes the post  ) but calling you that is unforgivable. :(

Oh, and if you have trouble finding a post to neg, there's one in the Maine thread that he hasn't deleted...yet.

To those of you that still have a horse in the race, best of luck this weekend.

I'm heading to Albany to see my last live hockey games of the season.

Good morning, happy Friday, and enjoy the playoff hockey, fellow Lodgers!

ASaaG: I should be able to rep you with my new email address in a few minutes.

Double click on the "fan forum" icon at the top of the page. When the next page appears scroll to the bottom where it says "view forum leaders." Double click on that icon. A list of all EXTRA members will appear. :)

Thanks.

And the answer is that redhawkman10 indeed has Extra. :)

He's down to spendid. Another shot or two should turn his stoplight red.

Morning/almost afternoon, Lodge.

Apparently it's crazy-moron-Friday in my neck of the woods. Fun!

Ah, so they went from my place to yours in the night.

This morning I got the everyone-go-slower-than-hell-in-everything-you-do crew this morning. I swear it would have taken an hour and a half to make Minute Rice this morning.

Hi Lodge. A few friends and I are heading to the Sioux/Denver game after I decide to finally get ready and pack. Should prove to be an interesting weekend if we run into some select posters. :D

Anyways, I hope you all have a great weekend with whatever your plans are. :)

GE, Thanks for your good wishes concerning the Pioneers in your rep. I'm torn about this weekend's games. Bear with me for a moment.

I'm someone who feels what seed a team has in the NCAA field doesn't matter much. With a few exceptions in the field of sixteen, I think any team can win the NCAA tourney with a combination of good goaltending and timely scoring.

Like many posters, I've played around with the PWR Predictor and, apparently, even if Denver loses both its game this weekend it would still receive one of the four #1 seeds in the NCAA tourney. Since I have no idea how the other conference tournaments will unfold this weekend, I can't say that there's an advantage which accrues to Denver if it wins both its game this weekend.

Denver is 4-0 against North Dakota this season and I think it becomes increasingly difficult to beat a team, let's say, 4-5-6 times in a season. I won't go "on and on" about the Final Five, but Denver's play through the regular season is what earned the team the strong position it holds right now in the PWR. If Denver wins the Final Five I'll be pleased, but the far more meaningful games begin next week. If Denver puts together a four game win streak at that point then I'll look like this guy====>:D .

I hope you get to see the games this weekend either in person or on the tube. I'll have the big screen cranked up and ready to go. :)

It beats me. :D I was referring back to this post and the post it quotes http://board.uscho.com/showthread.php?p=4705918#post4705918.

Hey Ralph, As with most things in life, this situation is for greater minds than mine to ponder. :p

I hope you get some good bike riding this weekend. Snowy heavily here right now which is good since my wife and are are heading to ski country tonight after the Denver-North Dakota game.
