Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 105: 2010 Assessment

I'm also standing on the bar tonight... NMU is going BACK to the Joe!

Makes up for a crappy day at work!

No kidding. I was bummed because of the ****ty weather in the NYC metro area keeping me from going skiing, but now I've cracked open a beer and will celebrate!

'diva: I expect drunker posts out of you tonight!:D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 105: 2010 Assessment

It's nine o'clock on a Saturday
The regular crowd shuffles in
There's an old man sitting next to me
Makin' love to his tonic and gin

He says, "Son, can you play me a memory
I'm not really sure how it goes
But it's sad and it's sweet and I knew it complete
When I wore a younger man's clothes."

la la la, di da da
La la, di di da da dum

Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us all feelin' all right

Now John at the bar is a friend of mine
He gets me my drinks for free
And he's quick with a joke and he'll light up your smoke
But there's some place that he'd rather be
He says, "Bill, I believe this is killing me."
As his smile ran away from his face
"Well I'm sure that I could be a movie star
If I could get out of this place"

Oh, la la la, di da da
La la, di da da da dum

Now Paul is a real estate novelist
Who never had time for a wife
And he's talkin' with Davy, who's still in the Navy
And probably will be for life

And the waitress is practicing politics
As the businessman slowly gets stoned
Yes, they're sharing a drink they call loneliness
But it's better than drinkin' alone

sing us a song you're the piano man
sing us a song tonight
well we're all in the mood for a melody
and you got us all feeling alright

It's a pretty good crowd for a Saturday
And the manager gives me a smile
'Cause he knows that it's me they've been comin' to see
To forget about their life for a while
And the piano, it sounds like a carnivore
And the microphone smells like a beer
And they sit at the bar and put bread in my jar
And say, "Man, what are you doin' here?"

Oh, la la la, di da da
La la, di da da da dum

sing us a song you're the piano man
sing us a song tonight
well we're all in the mood for a melody
and you got us all feeling alright

HAPPY HOCKEY TABLE!!
It's a best of 3 weekend so I'm not giving up my spot at the table yet. I'm not in the best of moods but I'm not despondent either.

The bad news is I have to spend another day of my life in Schenectady... (maybe I am a bit despondent) :(

My team lost, my bf's team lost, I'm driving a minivan, and I'm in my parents' big, empty house alone and studying. Today is not living up to expectations.

Big empty house? Guess we know who is hosting the party!

Back from Lil's game. They won but if he threw it up the middle one more time in the defensive zone I was going to pick him up by the neck and shake him! (I was on the end of the bench taking pictures).

At the unhappy hockey table.

Happy the Mack is making a show of it. Sorry ewe. And the UVM is too (the Sis in law went there). Tomorrow is another day that is going to arrive too fast.

Back from the X. Edina won it all. Minnetonka tried to make it a game in the third but didn't have enough to tie it up.

I wanted to go out drinking afterwards, but couldn't find anyone else to go with, so I'm back at home drinking my handle of Jim.

Good evening Lodge!

I am safely in Anchorage, and I am in love. Absolutely in love. This is gorgeous. There are no other words.

What I am NOT in love with is United for losing my baggage that had all my personal info in it, as well as my checks which I was going to use to pay my landlord, meaning I had to get a money order before I could move in. Fortunately, I got my bags at 4 this morning.

Also, Continental blows United out of the water. $6 for in-flight DirecTV is a wonderful distraction from the bawling crotchfruit 3 rows up. And free turkey dogs! FREE!

I totally understand why people get hooked by this place. This environment is right in my wheelhouse. I am really going to like this.

It'd be a recipe for a party, but the nearest human is probably about a mile away (not exaggerating).

Yay for Huntsville, Selection Sunday is going to be AWESOME!
