Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 104: Back To Normal Sports

Is the happy hockey room open on Tuesday night? My high school just made the state semi-finals! :) And, to get there, they had to take down this random team from up in the UP, Mark-ett or something like that...
Cue the MN contingent and their incessant bragging...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 104: Back To Normal Sports

Huh, go figure that the cowardly Bobcats bounceyball team would take lessons from the hockey team and choke in the 2nd half to lose the chance to make it to their first NCAA dance.

Looked like you got to see a pretty good game though, Mark... despite the result.
They didn't choke! And, yes, it was a good game. If only I understood it I might be able to tell you what went wrong.

Why would you want to be there yesterday? It's Wednesday sweetheart! :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 104: Back To Normal Sports

You should see our state tourney - particularly the big schools.

Even our section finals are able to fill up decent-sized college arenas (and apparently mariucci isn't big enough to host them anymore due to the overflow).

/bragging

Well if they had jobs to go to...

Ah, frick. Oh well, between NMU's annual March run, and my school taking out MSHS and University of Rockford, I've set up camp in the Happy Hockey room. I was just wondering if the bar would actually be open or if I would need to break in again.

Well, being held to 35% second half shooting % and only 6 field goals for the half is a good place to start. :p

Too bad though, really. Would have been neat to see them make the dance.

I'm not sure which hockey room I should be in right now. I'm not as upset as I thought I would be.

Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got fabulous news.
Do tell.......
So now I've had a head and throat cold for the last two days, I'm running on about 4 hours sleep due to the cold, and I've had the hiccups on and off for the last 5 hours. Everytime I get on the phone with a client I start coughing, hacking and hiccuping and I sound like I'm going to die on the spot. Either that or they think I'm drunk. Lovely day.
There's supposed to be this technique to massage the diaphragm to stop hiccups, just that nobody in class has had them yet long enough for one of the instructors to show us this. :(

Wouldn't wanna touch you right now anyways, not until you stop the coughing and hacking.

Because other people's kids are more fun! :p
Yep, you don't have to clean up after the little buggers!!!
I don't remember that.

Unfortunately, I do, all too clearly.
Hehehe, I was there, leading Beaver Nation in Who Hates Huntsville chants. Good times in GR.
I would think she'd want her child to wear a real jersey, not one of some made up team. :D

I have in my possession a Shamrock Shake...:)
4 > 1 Sue Boy!!!

Mmmmmm.... Shamrock shake!!!

Its Wednesday night.....

And I know Hammer and me are in the sad hockey room. Adrian just got Bounced! :(

Grrr.... gotta go walk the dog.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 104: Back To Normal Sports

I'm laying out a sleeping bag on the floor in the Eff Hockey Basement in preparation for this weekend.

If NMU makes the Joe, it'll be the Eff Hockey Spider Hole.

If NMU makes the NCAAs, it'll be the Eff Hockey Padded Cell.

(I'm actually pulling for you this weekend, NMU. An NCAA run would be well-deserved for you and awesome for UP hockey. Just not so awesome for my pride.)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 104: Back To Normal Sports

So I grabbed a small bottle of NyQuil tonight so that hopefully I don't wake up every 90 minutes tonight like I did last night. I wish they still made the old formula that they did when I was in college. My roommate's GF told me to take some before my 9:30 AM Federal Taxation class because I was about this close to the flu. I remember sitting in class at 9:45 and having someone wake me up at 11:30.

I may have to chug about half of this bottle to put me out for the night.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 104: Back To Normal Sports

Oh, don't you love those?

There's a few clients that we have that still do that and then bring their stuff in. After they leave it still smells like lung cancer in the lobby.

Yeah, but at least you probably don't have to touch em any more than to just give them a firm handshake Hammer. Smokers, ick!!! Even their skin feels funky.
