Re: Rep Lodge Thread 89: As The Holidays Approach

<-- in a really ****y mood after losing 8-1 and half the team either injured, DQ'd, or H1N1'd

I'm raising my Swine Flu Jackpot to a PS3 Slim and/or a new laptop, haven't decided yet.

Re: Rep Lodge Thread 89: As The Holidays Approach

So its Dr Patman now?

it has been since 8/24... I now have the nice formal signed piece of paper. I've only taken a brief look at the diploma... don't want to ruin it before I frame it. Signed by the governor and everything.

For the record its Dr. Patrick Joyce

edit: another grad student and myself had a conversation as to when you can start calling yourself "doctor"... I figure its when the state will vouch for it... which is as soon as it appears on the transcript. Either way, the diploma is a nice piece of finality to it. :) I want to get the UML and UConn diplomas framed side by side on my wall. Right above the art print of my hometown's city hall.

Checking in from Burlington, MA before I go to sleep. Today was awesome as I shot a personal best score this afternoon, 567 out of 600 possible points. Shooting at Wentworth tomorrow, then back to that better East Coast city;)

You are up before the dawn and still up now?
Eh, I slept in this morning... didn't post until after 7 am!

And I'm awake 'cause of the winning weekend high! :D

Ya gotta ride the bus when you can 'cause ya never know when the wheels might fall off.

I know nothing about shooting but that score sounds awesome!

And I'll remember to be really nice to you next time you're at the Bank! :o

Well, for comparison (probably sounds like bragging or whathaveyou, but I consider it a stepping stone to bigger things, as I know I still have space to improve)...

Our conference includes teams such as Navy, Akron, Penn State, Princeton, MIT, US Coast Guard Academy, Wentworth, Virginia Military Institute... etc. Mainly smaller schools along the eastern seaboard, with a couple eastern midwest teams mixed in. With the score I shot today, I'm sitting at ~20 out of 109 shooters in the league. Navy and Akron are two of the best teams in the nation, and Akron has about 15 kids on their team alone (most of which are in the top 25).

Unfortunately 2 of the other people in our top 4 didn't shoot their best and we lost to the Coasties and Mass Maritime (probably our 2nd rival to Kings Point (US Merchant Marine Academy))... so while it sounds cliche, I would have rather beat either or both of those teams today than shot as well as I did.

That's a lot of free throws...

Wow, Gopher football made a statement today by beating up BCS perennial powerhouse south dakota. Big win.

Way to pay attention, Parade Boy. The team was South Dakota State.

If the Jackrabbits don't fumble deep in their own end of the field in the last three minutes, SDS probably scores the winning points.

And I guess Iowa won't be too p/i/s/s/e/d going into next week's game after losing today in O.T. The Hawkeyes are gonna kick your a/s/s/.

Last night, I wished that Taco Bell delivered. Tonight, it's McDonalds. Apparently, when I'm drinking, my inner fat kid runs wild...

Are we going to have some mini-Flashys on our hands?

Imagine a 4' square-glasses dork who loves NMU and blurts out "Don't Stop Believing!" while slamming his/her head against his/her palm or desk.

The world just does not need that. :p
