It would be difficult for my company to ban time off. We are only allowed to carry 80 hrs over and would lose anything over that.

Be a tough sell to tell someone they can't use the time they already earned, they won't pay it out, and they are going to lose it.

That said, I schedule my December time off in January. :)

IIRC, isn't Sunday always time and a half? I'm trying to remember my mother's retail days at KMart.

Not always. I get paid $1/hour extra for working on Sundays.

$1 premium for working on Sundays, as well as a $1 premium for working overnights after a certain number of shifts.

Time-and-a-half on Thanksgiving will soften the fact that I have to be there at all. They should pay me quadruple for having to be at work at 4:30am, and double that for having it be Black Friday. If only I ran the world...
