Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

And now my idiot father decides today that the tree thats part of the fence of one of our lots thats been leaning up on another tree for over a year needs to come down.
No, I'm not climbing up in the tractor bucket with a chainsaw when I don't have any health insurance. And no, I probably wouldn't do it even if I had health insurance. Go rent a freaking cherry picker and do it right.

heh...

couple of weeks ago a friend from hs (i had a few... friend probably isn't the right word but I was on good terms and he was a good guy) who is now living next door spent the afternoon taking down tree branches next to the street using ropes. Basically they were doing it to save money so they could avoid a police detail and the rest for the tree remover.

Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

Not too bad, actually. I fell asleep just after 1. Usually a late night like that will f up the next day for me, but it hasn't so far. Chances are, if I'm up late the night before, then I'm sleeping away most of the morning, and during the time I'm awake the next day, it's dinner time before I know it and I'm left thinking "where the hell did the day go?"

It's a lot different than college, where if I went to bed before midnight I was sick or something else was wrong, and I'd watch the 1st quarter of the Lions game still laying in bed. 10 AM was the equivalent of sunrise for me, and 8 AM might as well have been the middle of the night.

Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

The street were I lived was closed off when i came back from my bike ride. There was a police car stationed at every corner. Then a motorcade went by. I wonder who it was. BO is out of town, isn't he?

It wasn't me:D I'm sitting here bored

Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

Hey all, just back from Hazeltine.

So we end up sitting along 16 for several hours (great spot to watch all the groups come through) and just as we gear up for the last couple groups it thunders? Are you kidding me? Luckily the weather held out. :)

I'm cheering for Y.E. Yang.....he is really long for a little dude.

Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

So, I turned in my notice to vacate this morning. My toilet broke this evening.

Coincidence?

And the duct tape failed me when I tried to fix the toilet until someone can replace the broken plastic arm. :(

Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

The plastic arm inside the bowl between the flusher and the chain? That's not a bad fix at all.

Had another dream last night. Trumpet, me, and another poster (I can't remember which one, although it might have been 'diva) were walking around buying groceries at a store nearby. How we got there, I have no idea. Where we were going, same thing. The third poster was wandering around somewhere off to the side and wT and I were looking at roasts, steaks and ribs. Weird night.

Now for the obvious: what does that dream really mean? :D

Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

I don't know. I don't remember going to bed hungry. I had another one last night where I was turning 40 and couldn't figure out what that meant. Strange night of sleeping, I suppose.

Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

It read to me like you thought wT wanted to try out some different meat, and you figured you'd give her a hand with that while someone else watched.

Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

I figured that would be the case. :D Actually I was trying to figure out how I wanted to cook some of that stuff, and I think wT was hungry, although I don't remember what she was doing there.

I've had some messed up dreams in the past. I've had:

wT and another poster wandering around a grocery store
Me trying to feed Scarlet multiple margaritas (especially strange since she drinks martinis)
Sitting in a church with legal and Quiz while legal wouldn't even look at me and a lady that looked like the nun from the Blues Brothers telling us that we were all going to hell.

There's probably more. And those are just the dreams I've had about this place.

I see similarities here... :D

I've had a few myself over the years, but for the life of me can't remember what any of them were. I think the last was just a couple weeks ago, but I might be confusing it with one involving something from work.

My dreams are usually pretty vivid, but I generally forget them within a few hours at most. It's odd, I'll wake up and remember most of the night, and by 10am it's all gone.

Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

I'm glad you do, because I've got nothing.

I think Twitch made an appearance in a dream somewhere, too.

Speaking of Twitch, yesterday afternoon I was in Monroe. In Monroe they have a hot dog restaurant. Coming back to the office, what did I see? Some guy in a hot dog hat holding up a sign trying to get people to come and eat at the hot dog place, much like you see people holding up signs at some of the Little Ceasars.
