Um... hasn't it been proven that the Shroud of Turin dates from around 1350?

Does it really matter that Shroud of Turin and the Sudarium of Oviedo covered the same person? Does it matter that they did or did not have anything to do with Christ? All you need is the Word, not a relic.
And just like that the Lutheran opens up the slap fight with the Catholics!
It's too bad the Pope didn't see the wisdom of what Luther was advocating.
Thought-provoking article that makes me want to look at the source material, which is not something I would say about 99.99% of the books re: "Biblical archaeology" (which are typically just exercises in tub thumping by the Kook of the Week).

80 pages.. Very good historical fiction around an archeological dig in Israel pre 1967 war.
If you have dead time (during the Philadelphia convention), sit down and read it.
