Reforming College Hockey

Re: Reforming College Hockey

Since we've ruined this thread already, we can continue next with the 100 most influential figures in American history according to The Atlantic (2006)!

Ruined? Nah. Trivialized, perhaps, but not ruined.

If my suggestion of uniting Division I and Junior Hockey were implemented we could be spared all the yapping about "which team was hurt most by defections to the pros." Plus attendance and profits would go up, costs to the schools would go down, the level of play would improve, academic shennanigans and recruiting violations would vanish, and free-market capitalism would reign supreme.
I'm puzzled by the violent reaction to this modest proposal. Aren't athletic scholarships a form of socialism; another giveaway program? Who can these angry protesters be but anti-business, flaming liberals?

See desk. See FlagDUDE08's head. See each repeatedly converge in a swift and fluid motion.

And you are missing the biggest benefit of all, the fans could watch the guys on the ice and play with them at home on EA Sports NHL 2011. And that would eliminate the need for that ridiculous thread. Woot Woot. Win win for all.

FYI that was sacarasm in case you were confused....

Re: Reforming College Hockey

This thread was going so well, not it is being thrown back into the fire.

What can we say? You didn't come up with a new Top 100 list. :D

The original poster tried to re-iterate his/her same point, of which our views were already expressed in previous posts. No sense in beating a horse to death.

Haha, you think colleges and universities care about things like profits, free-market capitalism, and level of play.

Let me guess, you've never met a career academic before? Never mind, don't answer that one.

So, what poll are we doing next, since clearly we can't leave this thread alone or it'll respawn into its former horrendous stupidity.

Re: Reforming College Hockey

Sure. I guess since I have already looked it up I may as well.

Let the games begin ......before Osrojoker comes back.
Awesome! It will be fun to be on the other side of the list this time, since I haven't seen this top 100 before.

I want to go with a big one, right off the bat, in my opinion should be #1.

Muhammad Ali/Cassius Clay
