Rankings

Re: Rankings

D-I list is out. how long until D-III posted?

Well considering D-III teams havent even started practice yet...;)

I wouldn't expect to see any D-III rankings until late October.

I vote in the women's poll since I'm the D-III women's writer so I'll let you know when I receive the ballot for the first time.

Re: Rankings

I think it'll look something like this ! ;) :p

1)
2)
3)
4)
5)
6)
7) Adrian
8)
9)
10)

close -;)

1) Middlebury
2) Norwich
3) St. Norbert
4) Plattsburgh St.
5) Hobart
6) Wis.-Stout
7) Adrian
8) Elmira
9) Wis.-River Falls

Note: No sound reason for Middlebury & Norwich, except "bias" factor ;)

Re: Rankings

When there is a college hockey video game or when the Big Ten forms a hockey conference.

Seriously....this question gets asked every. Single. Year. :(

I know you are a fellow 'Jacket backer...but I could not let it go.

Oh, the video game was so close, then Microsoft decided they aren't buying EA.:( :p

You forgot RIT.

Re: Rankings

I just looked and the first poll last year was October 20th. So we're likely a couple of weeks away still.

And that was with some teams starting early though.

Now that we have the flat start date and a lot of teams not playing till the last weekend in October or first week of November...It might be later this year....

Why is Middlebury so high? and at number 1?? why are they thought to be this good this year? Its a serious question,i'm just wondering.Plus no Manhattanville in the top 10? but you have Elmira in the top 10 at #8? with Elmira's new coach this year....in my opinion thats a little iffy to put them so high in the rankings.

Because it isn't a reality poll, it is the "Bias Poll". (influenced in part, by history and their current coaches) ;)

Re: Rankings

*in a German Accent*

You Fools! Pre-season Poles don't matter! 2 weeks into the season and they're not even worth the paper they're printed on as teams go out and prove that the people who vote for them are all homers and idiots. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a choppa to catch.

ZING!

That's the sound of the jokes sailing over your head...

Re: Rankings

I thought the proper term was "WHOOOOOOSH"

It's nice to see Pioneers#1 in midseason form at least.

Because it isn't a reality poll, it is the "Bias Poll". (influenced in part, by history and their current coaches) ;)

And the writers, don't forget the writers. After all, I have it in for Norwich and Webb is in the tank for Adrian.
