Quinnipiac Women's Ice Hockey 2012-13

Re: Quinnipiac Women's Ice Hockey 2012-13

Great moves on the D and the Goalie to net #4. She is a special player, a thrill to watch.
Great to see and 100% agree. She has always been a special player.

As Pierre Mcguire likes to say "those are some nifty mittens."

Listening to McGuire as we speak. He is on the local sports radio every morning from 8:10 to 8:30. Been doing that for about 12 years. The guy is one wealth of info.

Two very good 4-1 wins by QU's Men's and Women's teams over Cornell. Congrats to both and good luck today with travel, weather and games vs. Colgate

From a "Q" perspective, that wouldn't qualify as a highlight.

I understand that but if that was the reason then it strikes me as being intellectually dishonest....a form of censorship. Just like the one who does the post game write ups for UMD...often describing goaltending as being brilliant and scintilating when it's usually average/routine...(I often have to conclude that that person didn't actually even see the game...in which case, if that is the case, how bad is that?)

That author wouldn't know brilliant or scintilating if he/she saw it and if they did, how would they accurately describe it?...since they've already drained the English language of the most appropriate adjectives and used them to describe undeserving performances. (We don't have to worry about adverbs since it seems most people don't even know that they exist. This was not always the case. I can't count how many interviews with coaches I've seen and heard, that would be university educated coaches, whose use of the English language is atrocious...often using adjectives instead of the appropriate adverbs...not a good reflection on their supposed "education"...but I digress).

The NU highlights from their game on Tuesday vs BU in the first round of the Beanpot Tournament showed all goals including the loan BU goal. Actually, it omitted one of their own goals.
