Re: Quinnipiac @ RPI (Friday, 2/17/12)

Can I start two winning threads in a row again?

I hope you are on a streak! QU is a very decent team this year-but we had the lead in the third at their place and once you do that you should be able to hold it. We not only gave it back almost right after we scored, but we gave the winner up with virtually no time left. We should be a very different group of boys now. We have 2 games for them to learn a lot about themselves and what they can accomplish. We know by now that we are not going to see a winning season-we will have an overall losing record-but we can still finish this year off by winning a bunch of games and keep the season rolling for an extra few weeks. Besides, I really do not want to give away my tickets for Atlantic City this year.;)

Technically, if they make it to the National Championship game by winning their remaining four regular season games and then running the table through the ECAC Tournament, they're guaranteed a winning season! :)

Re: Quinnipiac @ RPI (Friday, 2/17/12)

Hope to be here for the whole game tonight. Not sure what the family plans are.
Looking for another good effort.

LETS GO RED!!!!

Re: Quinnipiac @ RPI (Friday, 2/17/12)

If they give a good enough effort to be ahead after 60 minutes, I'm willing to let them slack off for the whole rest of the night. :)

Burgie-we are currently -11 from the .500 mark. If we win our last 4 games, then 6 ECAC playoff games(3 rounds)-we would indeed make the NCAA tournament. We would then need to win 2 NCAA tournament games (and make the frozen 4). Yup-we could avoid a losing record;)

Re: Quinnipiac @ RPI (Friday, 2/17/12)

lines are out, Haggs back in/Rogic out...other than that it's the same as last week vs Dart. (except 2 line combos) http://www.rpiathletics.com/documents/2012/2/17/2011-12MHKYLineChart_QUI.pdf?id=1215

I really think these 4 forward lines give us our best possible chance. Love Tinordi, Malchuk and AAG as that 4th line. Glad to see Haggerty back in. Now let's just have a well called game by the officials and play a strong home game. Oh, and a little luck would be nice also.

Re: Quinnipiac @ RPI (Friday, 2/17/12)

I wonder if Koudys is in the dog house or injured.

If Koudys were injured, I would think Coach would have mentioned when Perry (or Kurt, or Tom, or whomever) asked about injuries during the pregame chit-chat either last week or the week before.

True-but if there is one thing we have learned about SA-he plays his cards very close to his chest. he does not give out injury information easily.

The doghouse seems to me to be the more likely explanation.

This is true. I believe what was said was something along the lines of nothing outside of the normal, which would indicate to me bumps and bruises. Obviously since he was scratched for both games last week, there is the possibility that something could have happened in practice between then and now.

Re: Quinnipiac @ RPI (Friday, 2/17/12)

I don't know RB. He just doesn't come off as someone that would get banished to the, "Chateau Bow-Wow".

Maybe the other six defensemen's talents are currently fitting the needs of the team a little better than Koudys's. That wouldn't indicate doghouse to me, but more along the lines of stiff competition.
