Quinnipiac Bobcats offseason: Redemption in Philadelphia 2014

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats offseason: Redemption in Philadelphia 2014

Chase Harwell headed to Major Junior - Sherbrooke of the GMJHL. Tough break.

That is a tough loss. Shows the type of players Quinnipiac are going after now. Good luck to him.

Nice article, a good read. One thing though: our hockey arena specifically is called the High Point Solutions Arena. The overall complex is called the TD Bank Sports Center. It hasn't been the TD Banknorth Sports Center since its inception, and was never called a "Garden."

Other than that, I quite enjoyed it.

besides that Mrs Lincoln, how did you like the play?

Neat photo. Do you also notice all the empty seats? <rolleyes> The NC$$ must have taken gas on that aspect. Wonder how many of those seats were no shows?

Virtually all of the empty seats were no shows and/or corporate seats unused. As much as I thought it was cool to see four lesser known schools (I know Yale is known but not athletically), a lot of people would prefer the Notre Dame's, Michigan, Minnesota, BC, etc.

Looks like to Quinnipiac Men's Ice Hockey team and fans are having a blast in Europe! Check out the Quinnipiac New Media Site of their trip:

One of the best features of NCAA Tournaments is the Cinderella's advancing.

Never before have two Cinderella's advanced to the Championship game.

The crowd in Pittsburgh was more for the Championship game than the semis.

Yeah, can you explain to me how Quinnipiac, a #1 seed in the tournament, was a "Cinderella"? Thanks.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats offseason: Redemption in Philadelphia 2014

I have a question to anyone that attends Quinnipiac Hockey...just put in for away game tickets thru the Maine ticket application form for the game on Jan.3rd,the form did not have the pricing for tickets, what is a ticket go for..? Thanks for any info and Good Luck going into the 2013-14 Season.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats offseason: Redemption in Philadelphia 2014

I think single game tickets are $15.00 unless they've raised prices for the upcoming season.

Well... I think it's a great place to watch hockey! ;) Capacity is right around 3500 plus SRO. Very good sight lines all around the rink.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats offseason: Redemption in Philadelphia 2014

Well Said Mark! Not too many places better than Quinnipiac's TD Bank Sports Center to watch a college ice hockey game

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats offseason: Redemption in Philadelphia 2014

It would be much better without thundersticks. Very distracting for the audience. We are very lucky to have two of the best college arenas in the New Haven area. Having the regional back at Harbor Yard is also a great thing for CT hockey, nice to see a local lad committing to Q.
