Tavener just skates up the ice unopposed and scores. 6:30 left in period. Cornell 4, Quinnipiac 3. Now Anderson penalty gives Quinnipiac a PP. Cornell, with the exception of its goal, has looked wretched this period. :(

Conversely, Quinnipiac looks like a team with its record would be expected to look.

Delayed penalty on Cornell. Cornell can't get a touch for about a minute. Don't goalie touches count? Do you have to have control?

Shots in the 2d: Quinnipiac 12, Cornell 4. That pretty much reflects the level of play of the teams in the quarter.

These games with Cornell the past few years have to seemed to be very chippy. I think there is some bad blood possibly between Pecknold and Cornell associate head coach Ben Syer formerly in the same position at Quinnipiac.

With 4 officials, one would not think that sticks would sit on the ice for minutes at a time. 9:53 left in 3d. 4-4.
