Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-16 - Another journey begins...

Break is over, they're back in class, and hopefully the "normal" routine will bring them back to where they were early in the season. Dartmouth tonight, and they've been hot. Always seem to play us tough, especially in Hanover. Need to set the tone early and keep digging.

Go Q!

What's up with the 8:05 start? Yeah, yeah... so there was a 4:00 women's game. Stupid scheduling if you asked me.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-16 - Another journey begins...

Important game tonight. Only one this weekend against a Dartmouth team who has been on a tear since the year reset. Perfect time to give a team thats trending upwards a punch in the gut

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-16 - Another journey begins...

Dartmouth not being able to finish the job apparently. They'll win tomorrow because of Princeton but after that is anyone's guess.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-16 - Another journey begins...

How the hell did they win this one? Wow what a comeback.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-16 - Another journey begins...

Great comeback. That being said, would really like to see these guys put together a couple of complete games next weekend and build back from there. Need to sure up the defensive coverage.

What the h3ll did I just watch?!?! That third period felt like it was in slow motion for the team. Everything just started churning all at once. Great team win, showed way more character tonight then any of the other come backs (IMO).

Sammy 'Bobcat' Anas coming in CLUTCH!

Easily the worst you'll see a team play and still score 7 goals. This makes absolutely no sense. Absolutely no sense at all.

Go Bobcats!

Initially I thought they were being way too aggressive on the D Coverage but dialed it back in the Third. Played a very smart third!

5th straight 20 win season, 14th 20 win season at the D1 level and 15th 20 win season in Rand's 22 years in Hamden.

An absolutely terrible game. An absolutely incredible win! These guys just never quit. Of course, I'd like to see them win one going away to save some wear and tear on the ol' ticker! ;)

Starting to get concerned this team is on the verge of a slump. Obviously they've put themselves in position to be able to weather it, but they're on the verge of a slump. There's only so many times you can get away with performances like that before it catches up to you.

Their game is starting to slip. Before most hockey teams slump, they get lucky with some wins they don't deserve. That's kind of what's happening here. The last three weeks (since the Harvard game at MSG) feels like the prototypical prelude to a slump. Hope I'm wrong.

I'd argue that this run of ties and come backs is the slump.

I like that attitude a lot. I think they haven't played well since Yale. I know they have some shutout wins in that stretch from Yale till now, but I don' think they've played that well in those games. May Union is an exception, but that's it. I think I remember people saying that first Princeton game was less about how good QU was and more about how bad Princeton looked that night. Those who were there can attest to that more. I thought Rand's comments about the boys faking hunger and drive would wake them up. I thought a loss to Dartmouth would wake them up. Maybe a 6 goal third wok them up.

My thoughts as well.

They need to come out and start strong... that's what's been missing. Early in the season they were fired up from the opening faceoff. Now it seems they need time (2 periods lately) to get the ball rolling. I was hoping the return to a normal schedule after the holidays might do it. Since this was their first week back, I'll give them a pass. Next weekend they need to prove themselves. Cornell/Colgate will be a significant test of the heart and character of this team.

I truly believe this team has what it takes and I think they realize that as well. They've come this far... time to finish the deal.

I agree. I hope with being back in the routine and the student section having some energy (not that Cub Scout Pack 40 doesn't cheer loud - it's just a different type of energy), will give them a needed jolt. The place will be fired up with Cornell in the house, so if they don't respond, we will know where they are mentally.
