Quinnipiac Bobcats 2010 Offseason

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2010 Offseason

The six incoming Freshmen are now listed on the team roster on the athletics page. Interestingly enough some of our seniors from last year are still listed as well.

Jersey numbers for the Frosh are as follows:

#6 Hibbeler
#10 C. Jones
#16 Robinson
#20 K. Jones (interesting seeing as how Ben Arnt wore #20 last year and is till
listed as 20)
#24 Dunbar
#27 Tolkinen

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2010 Offseason

I swear I will post more this season and not disappear in the middle of January like I did last year.

If I don't someone come beat me up in section 101!

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2010 Offseason

Who are you and what are you doing in our thread? :p

I know right. I wasn't getting paid to sit in front of a computer all day anymore. Then I fell off the face of the earth. Still hit all the games though so it could have been worse.

The season ticket holder BBQ is on September 15th. It's getting closer...

Will totally be there. I have class at 6 over at SCSU but I'll be there right for 5pm. Completely excited for a new season!!!

Brandon Wong has signed with the Hartford Wolfpack of the AHL and Bobcat fans will be able to see him in action on October 1st when the Wolfpack take on the Sound Tigers. Congrats to Wonger...my namesake!

I saw that email come through today. It will certainly make for an exciting winter. We need to get a schedule of WolfPack games posted somewhere (for weekends we're on the road, of course). Might have to run a group trip up there or something.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2010 Offseason

Hearing that the Princeton (11/23), at UMass (11/27), at Harvard (12/8) and the Yale (2/18) are slated for Television (NESN & others) this season...

Stay tune for official QU Announcement

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2010 Offseason

Q televised on the road! Great news for the fans (though I still expect to see a lot of blue and gold at those games)!

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2010 Offseason

My goodness we have a exhibition on Sunday and Ohio State a week from Friday? You'd think we'd have more discussion/excitement!

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2010 Offseason

Yah Quinn, I was thinking the same thing.

Thoughts going into the exhibition match and the season in general. I'm excited to how the Jones twins and the other incoming Freshmen play on Sunday and how Rand will juggle the D core which is about 9-10 defensemen deep. I am looking for a big year out of Zurvy, Langer and Yuri at forward and think Zach Davies is about ready to take off.

After Sunday, I may pose some possible line combos for the Ohio State games. See some of Bobcat Nation tomorrow night as Brandon Wong and his Hartford Wolfpack takes on Bridegport at the Bank.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2010 Offseason

It's been too quiet but I'm sure things will pick up in the next week or so.

All I can say at this point is that I'm looking forward to another season at the Bank. It's hard to get a read on what type of team we'll be so I too will wait to see them in person on Sunday. The coaches and media polls both have us lower than I would have thought... but maybe it's good to go in under the radar.

The team will need to find some consistency and some magic, and maintain it all season long. Otherwise, they might just end up as the #3 or #4 team playing at the Bank this season! Men's bball and women's hockey seem to be on a roll and look to have some potential this year.

Hopefully we'll get a good turnout Sunday even if it is an exhibition.
