Quinnipiac Bobcats '12-'13 Post Season - The view from the top...

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats '12-'13 Post Season - The view from the top...

Thanks Shot! And re: your rep... you ain't seen nothin' yet! ;)

Yeah, my money's squarely on you to become the biggest horse's a/s/s/ in all of USCHO-dom. I know you can do it. Now don't let me down. ;)

And good luck to your buddy Bob Katz.

Side note here in Pittsburgh - I feel it necessary to post about how classy every single St Cloud St fan that I have encountered has been. I ran into a couple at a bar after the game Friday and all of them were incredibly pleasant to talk to. Just a classy bunch.

I have no reason to hold any animosity towards SCSU at all. From this point on, I will be pulling for them whenever necessary.

With that said, tomorrow is gonna be something else. All I keep seeing and hearing are how many additional bobcat fans will be making the trip for the game. I am too excited to offer any in depth analysis, so I will just simply say GO BOBCATS

The final college hockey game of the season. There is no more after this. 60 minutes left of Bobcats hockey until October. Win or lose. Last one out of the rink, please turn out the lights.

Hey, whatever happens tonight, I hope everyone -- players, fans, coaches, students, alums, administrators... I just hope everyone has fun tonight. This is the greatest thing to ever happen to Quinnipiac University. I want them to win this thing, we all do. But let's enjoy this. Who knows the next time Quinnipiac University will be in this position. Let's not forget to have fun tonight.

Oh, and one more thing....

Quinnipiac coach Rand Pecknold takes a shootout attempt on freshman goalie Jacob Meyers.
Apparently a staple of practices this year... and one of the few stops Meyers has been able to make on Rand. At least that's what they were joking about during the autograph session.

As I walked through the autograph line and thanked each of the players for a great season, the overwhelming reply (with extremely positive vibes) was "we still have another game to play". The confidence was palpable.

The word in Altoona, PA is there's a hockey game today.

Looking forward to seeing a lot of gold at the Consol Enery Center!

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats '12-'13 Post Season - The view from the top...

Hey everyone.. just wanted to share a personal story on the eve of the biggest game in program history.

I was at QU for 2 years, transferred after my Sophomore year. Had some issues with roommates and a bad breakup with a girlfriend.

The only thing that was ever really great for me at Quinnipiac was the hockey team. I was able to bring my camera down Sophomore year and film a few games and even get postgame sound from some of the players and Rand.

It was a rough time for me, but the team was my solace while dealing with some other things.

I remember going down to the rink during practice with a member of Q30 to film some stuff and we got great shots. I asked Brandon Wong at the end of practice if he'd take a shot on net with out camera behind the net. He said yes.

All of the players were so nice and would talk to me whenever I was down there, I remember being asked if I had watched the Vancouver Canucks game from last night, of course I hadn't. These guys just love hockey. People still today ask me, why do you love the team so much if you didn't have a good experience at the Q? It's because the team was the very best part of my time there. Going to the Times Union Center for the ECAC final as a freshman, going to countless games, as a hockey nut, there was nothing better.

I've gotten my friends from home into the team, we even went to a game at the Bank and the ECAC Championship in AC this year.

This feeling, of this team now 60 good minutes from eternal glory, is incredible. There are so many people who have put in so much hard work and time to get to this point and i'm overjoyed that I get to watch them in this game today.

I know this is sort of a random rant, but it just makes me proud of the time I spent there. That this team is becoming a household name.

I will be at Wicked Wolf in Hoboken with a bunch of friends decked out in QU gear rooting to make this dream a reality.

Can't wait for the puck drop.

GO BOBCATS!

Terrific game the other night. Came out with some serious jump. Hartzell was en fuego. Re: St. Cloud, I wasn't sold at the start, but once they settled in, they impressed. Wow, some serious "flow" on those guys. "Locks of Love" should get in touch with them!
Bring home the hardware tonight.

A swift kick in the rear to the classless Quinnie fans who booed at the Hobey Baker ceremony when their player wasn't picked. What a bunch of morons. I hope this isn't representative of other fans. Unbelievable!

Are you sure they weren't Bui'ing?

In all seriousness, there are a lot of fans that still don't know much. It's a work in progress. Congrats to Drew, he seems like a great guy.

A whole group of us was sitting in the St. Cloud section at the Hobey Baker ceremony and we had a great time with the guys in front of us. We were glad to see LeBlanc win if it wasn't going to be Hartzell. And as far as I know, everybody around us was yelling "DREW," so maybe that's being misconstrued? Maybe not, but that's not the attitude of most of our fans, I know.

GO FREAKING BOBCATS! If they don't beat themselves tonight, they are the national champions.
