Providence College...the battle goes on...Boston twice in 15

Re: Providence College...the battle goes on...Boston twice in 15

Simply look at either top goalies, Jay Williams, 4th ranked Miami, Matt O'Connor, 2nd ranked BU, Jamie Phillips, 8th ranked Mich Tech, all top ten ranked teams and goalies. Look at them over past 6/7 games. By the way, all are the only goalies ranked top ten on a top ten team. Rough patches to say the least.
Gillies is so far the least of PC's issues. PC hitting a rough stretch now is expected. Better now than late Feb
PC ready to roll

O'Connor, BU goalie, ranked top 10 in country in gialues, team ranked 2nd in country, has 3 wins in past 7 games, the other 4 non wins were all vs non ranked teams, including this weekend vs 54th ranked team, below Brown

The friars were playing better when they had trouble scoring goals. Now that they are scoring goals they are playing crappy defense and the goaltending is not exactly sharp.

I also to the extent I didn't see the game, say this is funny, you hear the diving thing about a couple of Hockey East teams, but PC is not one if them. Mauerman is a prime example he gets knocked around all the time and he just pops back up and keeps going. The opposite end of this spectrum is Brown does have a rep as being dirty. Most likely it is youthful inexperience (and maybe frustration), but that is something you work on, more than the players that rep is on Whittet. Funny in the run up to the game one of the things said was Brown has worked to overcome the abundance of penalties. I do remember Ricky was BS about the hit Corcoran put on one of his guys and Corcoran got supplemental discipline

ECAC rule no supplemental discipline upon review.

1 team in top ten won both games this weekend. All to lower ranked teams, 8 of which were not top 20
Go figure.

Get rid of their goalies and trash them immediatly

Re: Providence College...the battle goes on...Boston twice in 15

Down 2-1 to a terrible UNH squad with ten mins left...not a good start to the second half of the year at all

Re: Providence College...the battle goes on...Boston twice in 15

Well, it's October again.

Re: Providence College...the battle goes on...Boston twice in 15

PC loses 2-1 and I would be stunned if this team makes the NCAA tourney....disgusting back to back losses to terrible programs!

Re: Providence College...the battle goes on...Boston twice in 15

Two goals scored in two games vs UNH is not getting it done!

Re: Providence College...the battle goes on...Boston twice in 15

I said I wouldn't be surprised if they went 1-2 over the past three games but I also feel this team isn't as good as we all had hoped. Bad loss tonight to another team that is having a poor season by their standards. This was a game that an NCAA tourney team should win or at least tie.

Take a depth breath and relax. It's only a college hockey game. So much hate from you. Maybe you should follow another program that wins every game.

I feel like you should distribute this to Hoky and Zlax as a pamphlet. The crazed swings between optimism and pessimis is almost as annoying as the team's inconsistencies. Almost.

Maybe it is time to question the coaching staff...which player under Leaman has improved from his freshman year? Gillies isn't as good as he was as a frosh and Mauermann has regressed. Demo is now up to 22 or 23 games without a point and he keeps playing Hennessy who hasn't got a goal in his ten or so games.

Why would anyone break up Noel's line with the two non-scorers on his wing?

Oh wait, can't question Leaman who has one career NCAA win.

And not 1/20th as annoying as reading your schoolgirl posts about nothing.
Did your cat eat yet today?
Back to your mothers basement

I could describe a sea urchin in conversational Catalan and still make more sense than you just did.

Remind us again how we're Frozen Four bound.

Maybe Providence College should just drop ice hockey all together. You should go follow that high school team in Woonsocket,RI. they are pretty close to perfect every year. Forget that idea, you wouldn't have anything to ***** about. Question is, if you hate this team so much, why the hell do you follow them??? You come across as a miserable B*tch.

Mount actually loses some now...

I hate the way they are playing and the lack of transparency from the fan base. All is not good because they made the tourney last year. This program should be competing for a National title and right now have not shown that.

Re: Providence College...the battle goes on...Boston twice in 15

And I come back to PC91's measured response to the second disappointing loss in a row.

Re: Providence College...the battle goes on...Boston twice in 15

FWIW: UNH played best fore-checking game of the season. Was a little surprised to see PC have difficulties breaking out of their own zone.

From what I have seen under Leaman, his teams are terrible at coming out of the zone. He can't use the excuse anymore that he is playing with other guys recruits.
