Providence College regrouping and on to St. Paul

Re: Providence College regrouping and on to St. Paul

Seriously, where the hell are our fans?

Big win should be set for tomorrow as we only played for 1 period total.....some in the first and the rest half way through the third, going to need to pick it up from now on, no breaks.....They say the alumni buy the tix but do not attend the games (supporting program) wish they would give them away

I hear that Sat game is on line on ESPN3

Exactly...they don’t use the tickets. Very odd

Meanwhile, Friars did what they needed to do and woke up after UML took the lead. (It was like watching a replay of the BC/UMass game on Thursday).

Friars didn't get any help from teams in other leagues, just need to keep winning.

Probably not going to catch BC for first and at this point probably want to see Maine pushed down. BC finishes with 3 against Maine.

UCONN beating BU helped some but can still be caught by the Terriers.

UVM came back to force OT with NU but could not close it out in OT, so maybe they do tonight.

Watching Greenway in the Olympics, his game will translate well in the NHL I think. It will be interesting to see how he adjusts coming back to finish out the college season. May not be able to get away with some of the extra physical stuff in a BU uni.

4-2. UML fans now discussing crowd sizes. Hee hee.

There were hardly any students there last night. They usually sit on their hands anyway but it's the long weekend so I get them being away. Miss the days of Silent Schwab and his crew of crazies.

4 point weekend. Shame that Maine didn’t hold up their end of the bargain, but just keep winning,

Re: Providence College regrouping and on to St. Paul

Does that ASU/MTU brawl remind anyone here of UNH and 1997?

Re: Providence College regrouping and on to St. Paul

Five straight 20 win seasons for Leaman's teams? Not bad. Looking at the schedule, Northeastern has a chance to pass PC only by having 1 more game to play. Don't think it's that big a difference whether you may end up with the #6 or #7 team in the conference tourney 2nd round.

Re: Providence College regrouping and on to St. Paul

So i order to at least share the Hockey East title, we need to beat UMASS (which won't be easy, it's a road game on a Saturday) and Maine needs to sweep BC (!) and our friends the Skating Mother Theresas need to stop disrespecting Dick Umile and take at least one point from Northeastern.

Would have been nice to get more than one point in Vermont and not drop games to UCONN and UNH.
Basically, we should be okay with 2nd or 3rd place in the league and take it from there.

So when Shane is back in the lineup, how do we look up front line wise?? Should be gearing up for a run with stable lines.

Forgot the road loss to UMass

Maine and UNH getting stomped right now. 3rd place.

Re: Providence College regrouping and on to St. Paul

I would not be surprised to see BC win the HE tourney to get into the big tourney they appear to be getting better every game now

BC getting in probably knocks out PC or NU given how crappy the league is. Just. Keep. Winning.

Re: Providence College regrouping and on to St. Paul

Looks like only changes tonight were Robbie being swapped out for the returning Kavanagh. Right Jon, they just have to keep winning. But I don't think PC is in jeopardy of being bumped out unless they get smoked in the HE tournament quarterfinals.

Re: Providence College regrouping and on to St. Paul

No free stream for this one looks like....going to have to listen to Mike Logan

Friars got smoked at UMASS early in the season...UMASS can play a pretty chippy game need to stay out of the box...
