Providence College on the road to Tampa

I thought PC was terrible throughout the game and didn't have their legs. Passes were to guy's feet or behind them all night. The PC forechecking was awful and they probably deserved to lose this game 4-1 or 5-1 with an average goalie. Ellis was out of his mind.

You guys played filthy defense all night... I'm happy we got what we did. This is nonsense.

He's the real life Debbie Downer of the thread. I'm pretty sure I saw him at Hurricanes after PC won the natty talking about how feline AIDS is the number one killer of cats.

can you just not.

The way PC approached this game showed me that they were overworked this week and had no legs. Jankowski, Tanev, Saracino, Mingola were nowhere near being leaders that were necessary. Gilmour, Monk, and Parisi were not good at all with multiple turnovers deep in their end before the start of overtime.

PC has scored two goals (except for the Merrimack empty netter) now in the last 170 mins.

Can I speak objectively? I don't look at things through rose colored glasses like many PC fans do. I am a fan of the sport unlike a large majority of PC fans who packed up their crap and left after the PC game.

You need to meet up with chickod in the BU thread and have a beer, or six.

That's right. Nobody can say ANYTHING negative according to you. Again, this is a DISCUSSION thread where we are allowed to have a discourse. There still is a first amendment in this country (although probably not much longer...)

Ah haaaaaa . . . that would explain why PC hit Boyle in the chest with pucks 58 times.
But what is UML's excuse for hitting Ellis in the chest 42 times? Maybe they just don't like him.

All you prove is that you simply know very little about hockey, very little if anything. PC will be a very tough draw in tournament and will go deep. If they don't, they will play hard, the right way and lose with class. Amazing year after winning nstl championship
Anyone that finds anything negative out of it is a *******. If someone was a real hockey fan, staying because they are to cheap to leave doesn't make them an expert, they would live the product PC rolls out.
Class team, great season
The real question will be next year

UMD is playing some good hockey. That alone should be a good one.

Leaman agrees with me as he told Divver the same thing “I was upset at all the turnovers we had in this game. We definitely gotta get that straightened out. We've got to reenergize,’’ Leaman said.

But whatever, all is well at PC so let's not look at the reason why they lost making two massive mistakes in that triple OT and letting a guy walk in to tie the game.

Re: Providence College on the road to Tampa

The goal that was the first goal was a great play and he deserved the goal......the last one was pure luck along with a bad turnover but on to the real contests this one is OVER

Re: Providence College on the road to Tampa

PC is in Worcester as the one seed.

The seed and location mean little to me.....I am more concerned with the other teams at the same venue and if the NCAA spreads out the representatives from Hockey East in a fair manor.........Hockey East should be represented in all 4 sites and be a 1 seed in 2 of them PC and BC.....the only 4 seed should be BU, Lowell is a 2..... ND and NE are at least 3s....the other 1s are ND and Quin.

I would bet that the set up will be to eliminate HE from 2 of the 4 sites heading to Tampa

Um...no. You don't understand how the brackets are determined. BU can't be a #4 seed, because they are in the 9-12 "band." This is how it works:
Band 1 (#1 seeds): Teams 1-4
Band 2 (#2 seeds): Teams 5-8 (this includes Lowell)
Band 3 (#3 seeds): Teams 9-12 (this includes BU)
Band 4 (#4 seeds): Teams 13-16 (this includes Northeastern)

It's not "arbitrary" by where someone "thinks" a team should be seeded...

Re: Providence College on the road to Tampa

Amazing that legit fans of the sport still don't know how teams get seeded

Actually, I'm somewhat heartened. I can remember when, by this time we'd have had a string with 467 posts, half of them complaining that Minnesota got screwed, pointing out that they were the B1G regular season winners or complaining about the inclusion of Ferris and RIT. And the other half of the 467 posts would have had only two words -- "Simple Math"

Exactly....this system is 100 percent better than hoops. We all know who the teams are going to be and there might be a debate on where they might send a team (should QU be sent to Worcester or Albany).

Re: Providence College on the road to Tampa

Is there an official pre-game meeting place in Worcester? (Not that I'm anxious for Friday to get here.)
