Who do the Skating Deerticks of QU need to beat to be #1 in the country? Let them or BC have the target on their backs for a while as we worry about Northeastern.

Northeastern is terrible so far. But they're always a pain for us to play, so maybe we finally lose.

BTW, PC91's binky was freaking huge on Saturday. Hobey candidate?

You guys deserve all the success that (has come) is coming your way with the hockey. Your school admin made some very smart moves. Kudos

NU is struggling right now but that can turn around relatively quickly. Also anyone who follows HE knows that NU gives certain teams fits (PC being a great example) and I feel this weekend is going to be a battle. NU always plays PC tough. There should be some great hockey this weekend.

Speaking of threads...this thread is a train wreck unless me, PC13, satking are contributing!!! :p Don't worry, yours will get better. :)

and I really can't contribute that much, given that I'm a bajillion miles away and there are no "destination" away games this season like there were last year.

I'll be at the Yale game though, whee!

The scary thing about NU is that as bad as they're playing, they are getting ties and keeping games close. What PC91 says is correct, NU gives PC fits from some reason.
We should sweep them, but history is telling us different.

is it weird that I'm kind of looking forward to the yale game? It's one of the few ECAC teams I haven't seen yet (the other being Princeton).

Not weird at all. Yale plays a good brand of hockey. You'll enjoy it.

As predicted NU is playing a good game so far.....PC has to step it up on 5x5 they are at best playing even there

Call could have gone either way but the head is always protected......playing a good third and really need to continue this way all weekend, typical NU game

I thought it was a good call with the way it is called now. Leaman told Divver he had no issues with the call.

@MarkDivver: 'I thought it was the right call. (Florentino’s) arm didn’t come up but the guy’s head was low and got hit with the shoulder.'

Big win for BU down 2-0 and come back to win 3-2.....HE is going to be a tough ride all year, only the good will survive

As UVM found out to their horror.

We have a ways to go, but it's pretty much us, BC, UML and BU at the to top, an ungodly mess in the middle, and Maine, UCONN, and NU as an unmitigated trio of disasters. Maybe Notre Dame or UMASS or Merrimack can sneak in or UNH or UVM can string some wins together but the league is hilariously unpredictable.

Nice to play great hockey in the third period. Tait was a catalyst. Northeastern will be tough tonite. Those dogs are not as bad as their record. They will be primed to defeat #1 at home.:eek:

4 point weekend and outscored NU 8-2. Not a lot of parity in HE this year, might look like the NFL with a few good teams and a lot of dregs.
