Providence College on the road to Tampa

Re: Providence College on the road to Tampa

Congrats to Jake Walman on his invite to the Canada National Junior Team camp, December 10-14. As a Merrimack fan, could I ask him to leave really early, like before this weekend?

Re: Providence College on the road to Tampa

Walman will miss the first Brown game...if he makes the team he will miss the tourney in Florida ( Cornell and BC/OSU) and the second Brown game back for the BC weekend.

Friars could end up playing BC 3 times in the space of 10 days.

They should rename that tourney, "Welcome to the meat grinder OSU"

Three of those teams were in that notorious 2003 East regional. It's about time we had a crack at both of those HE teams.

Re: Providence College on the road to Tampa

Apparently, Mankato was well known in the WCHA for it's close proximity to strip clubs. Which is one of Providence's leading attractions.

Ho Hum. 10-0-3. #1 in the country for 3 weeks running. Dead thread.

Re: Providence College on the road to Tampa

Thought the Friars played too defensively in the third period last night...seemed content to get out of Lawler with a 2-1 lead after two periods...hope to see more intensity tonight and more offense zone play.

Wow. I don't know where to start with this. You can really find something to criticize here? Of course a team is "content" to defend a lead. A win is a win, by one goal or 14. You should be grateful for the kind of game your guys play there.

Leaman agrees, he stated that the Friars stopped moving their feet in the 3rd. The road W is great, but the Friars need to improve every game. Need the forwards to pitch in with a batch of even strength goals.
