On the other hand, the Providence freshman class had 100 points this year. I think that is best in the nation

Definitely more talented than previous years and another strong incoming class.

I agree, same old same old with the coach. He was successful early on when the league was not so tight and he had more talent so the run and gun style was more effective. Now that teams are so much closer competitively he is struggling. UVM was a better coached and rested team for the playoff series. The biggest problem area is the lack of discipline as they were the most penalized team in Nation the last two years in a row (1/3 of goals allowed were shorthanded). In game one vs UVM on Friday, PC has a 3-1 lead in the third and he still has the defense continuously pinching! No team gives up more odd women rushes then PC.

UVM Series: 14 goals given up in three games:
7 Power play goals given up
1 Penalty shot
2 Empty net goals
4 Even Strength goals in three games

Well, it's now official and Coach Deraney will be head coach for at least another season.

Great game today by the Lady Friars. They took UVM to the woodshed 6-2. If the offense and tenaciousness they showed today holds, they should have a good season.

Another great win for the Lady Friars, 3-1 over Quinnipiac. The friars have won their last 3 games, goals for16 against 6. They seem to have a fairly potent offensive machine. Be interesting to see if they can maintain this momentum

Friars off to a good start 4-2-2

Big test with Northeastern this weekend, Friars need to find the scoring touch! Only scored 7 goals in the last 5 games and PP is really struggling.
