Providence College Friars, the best off-season ever!

Re: Providence College Friars, the best off-season ever!

All home games will be televised this year and available online:

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Fans of the reigning national champion Providence College men's hockey team will be able to watch all 17 of the team's home games this season via television and web stream. Earlier today (Oct. 1), Cox Sports announced its agreement to broadcast 16 games at Schneider Arena this season on the Ocean State Network (OSN) and CoxHub. As part of the Hockey East's deal with the American Sports Network (ASN), the Friars will appear on national television against Boston University on Nov. 13.

"Once again we are excited about our partnership with Cox Sports," Providence College Athletics Director Bob Driscoll said. "Cox/OSN will be televising and streaming 16 of the men's hockey team's 17 home games. For many years Cox has been a tremendous supporter of Providence College Athletics and this support continues to grow. We are very appreciative of all their efforts."

Cox cable customers can tune into Friars hockey games that appear on OSN on channels 5 and 1005 (HD). Fans with other cable carriers can purchase single game or season streaming passes here. Providence will appear one time on the American Sports Network (ASN), a national championship rematch against Boston University on Nov. 13 at Schneider Arena. ASN will broadcast select Hockey East contests as part of a Friday night double-header, showcasing eastern college hockey programs at 6 p.m. ET followed by western teams at 9 p.m. The agreement positions Hockey East to have the most wide-spread television exposure in league history in 2015-16.
