Re: Providence at UNH - 01/29/11

Game over.

CATS WIN!! CATS WIN!!

Final score:

UNH 5 - PC 1

Well except for a rough patch to start the second period, UNH was in control of this one from the drop of the puck tonight. This was clearly their best game of the second half. Great stuff. Next up Maine. Look for my ugly mug in the second row of the student section. Lock up your chicken wings NH, cuz I'm on my way!!!

Re: Providence at UNH - 01/29/11

It'd be great to meet some of you that I have not met before and also want to see all the familiar faces I have met previously. REALLY looking forward to next weekend! Best weekend of the year!!!

Re: Providence at UNH - 01/29/11

Thompson must be upset that he is still at 99 points in his career. He wants it Friday night vs. Maine.

Re: Providence at UNH - 01/29/11

By the way, on the cover of that 77-78 guide is a great photo of Cornell's Lance Nethery (he was AWESOME) with UNH's Dave Lumley (later with Edmonton) and Joe Rando. Boston Garden, 1977 ECAC championship semi-final.
Hi Richard - I'm thinking back to how Dave Lumley skated and handled the puck, always with his head up and standing tall. Paul Thompson's stride and confident demeanor reminds me of him.

Love Dave Lumley. He played for the Oilers, but more importantly he didn't wear a helmet :D.

Lummer -- Ontario license plate LUM14. Way cool. And scored the OT goal to beat Brown that earned us that very first trip to the Garden in '77.

My internet connection is down, so I'm afraid it's good night from me. For those travelling, have a great trip!
