Re: Providence - 2009-10 What is in the glass?

By the way I was captain of My high school team too! PCO played at Holy Cross, by your standards we quailify as hockey people!

Who is this PCO person? I know of a BUO, but no PCO...

Re: Providence - 2009-10 What is in the glass?

I wouldnt say that. Something is not clicking and it would be nice to see it turn around and start winning. If they had won those 2 overtime games, it would have at least been a start. But they didnt, which sucks.

Upward and onward.....

FYP. It must be hard to be a dyslexic illiterate.

Re: Providence - 2009-10 What is in the glass?

PC/Notre Dame
PC/BU

PC/Lowell
PC/UNH

And yet you never seem to have the time to stop and visit PC91 who has provided you with his seat location numerous times.

Be sure to take the time to drop by lower M row AA when the Mack plays at PC and we can chit chat. (Don't worry ITG, I know that you won't REALLY show up because you are a wuzzy who would never talk this way to someone in person)

Just in case you forgot.

It's the height of arrogance to tell the fans of a last place team - especially with speculation that the program might be eliminated - to be "optimistic" about 2 years of absolute HELL where nothing has gone right.

The best part is he never answers the central question of what the hell should we be optimistic about, why he thinks Army will turn it around, etc.

He just trashes everyone responding to the problems the program is having -- instead of the program itself, which is where the frustration and criticism ought to be directed.

It's not only the height of arrogance, but it's sheer and complete lunacy.

I grow weary of being lectured about having a life, being in a "sewing circle" and being one of a handful of malcontents as the fan attendance continues spiraling downward and the team moves closer to irrelevancy.

I'm also tired of being told I need to "support the kids" or stop rooting for PC. I don't see anyone on here saying the players aren't trying. I'm much more behind the kids than I am behind the coach or the AD.

Re: Providence - 2009-10 What is in the glass?

No need to defend yourself to this nitwit. The true fans are the ones that we see home and away. Johnny come lately thinks he knows best. Bleep him!

Re: Providence - 2009-10 What is in the glass?

sounds like time to clean house at Providence. The former Husky coach, Craig Dahl (aka Dahlie Llama) is selling financial products near Rochester NY. If someone would call him, I believe he would answer. How about Brad Wilner? He's coaching junior hockey right here in St. Cloud, MN.

We haven't come up with a fun nickname to rival "Swoon" or the Dahl Stall, but this is arguably worse as SCSU could on occasion win the WCHA and/or make it to the NCAA's despite the late collapses. PC can't even get that far.

I guess the "Army Attack" doesn't work, eh?

Re: Providence - 2009-10 What is in the glass?

You basically have to pray that Beaudry catches fire and some of the new guys (particularly Jamnick and Schaller) start to find the back of the net with some consistancy. And then you have to pray that Merrimack, NU and UVM fall apart simultaneously. And then what? We all pay $24 to go see the team get clobbered at UHN, BC, UMASS, or - heaven forbid - Alfond?!?!

This is not fun. I wish the kids the best and I'll be happy if Army ever turns this around, but the degree of difficulty keeps rising precipitously.

Re: Providence - 2009-10 What is in the glass?

How about even Pepto can't stop the Army Attack.

The same 4 or 5 guys saying the same thing over and over and over again is simply that. 4 or 5 guys saying the same thing over and over and over again.

The chances of the program being eliminated is zero. ask Lou, Brian Burke, Ron Wilson etc.

ZERO.

5 guys can say it 45000 times and at the end of the day, 45000 times 0 = 0

Re: Providence - 2009-10 What is in the glass?

blah blah blah

Somehow you're able to agitate a pack of fans who remain staunchly loyal to their team in spite of its awful state. You're the guy that's able to keep them united against a common enemy.

You're a riddle wrapped in an enigma stuffed inside a puzzle.

Do the PC fanbase a favor: Go away and stop talking to them.

1 guy says that Army is god then it must be a fact. You really must be Mrs. Army or Tom Army to believe that much in this guy. Your blind faith is amazing. As HM has spelled out for you numerous times, there is ZERO reason for your staunch support.

"remain staunchly loyal to their team"

You are on what drugs?

I dont have staunch support. I simply dont see any logic behind saying the same thing eevry single day 45000 times. Even when they had back to abck hockey east wins vs BU and ME it was 100% negative. We heard for two months how they would tank in january, ("just like they did last year") and then when they won a couple, instead of being happy, it angered people. Almost mad that they couldnt be negative about a bunch of college kids playing a game.

Laughable perspective. You dont need to be a genius to set in a sewing circle and say it sucks, sheep do that

People like this would have been great to have around at the G-7 summits last spring.

What happened after that weekend? Oh right the wheels fell off again. Just like it was predicted.
