To me that's like dying better...YOU'RE STILL ^%$#*ING DEAD!

Re: Providence - 2009-10 What is in the glass?

2 wins in the last 13 games.

Watched it on Cox tonight too. When you start counting the fans in the stands you know it's bad. Outshot 43-27, this team looks utterly, completely deflated. Power play was embarrassing.

I was more shocked by the commentary though. Bellemore must be taking a page out of the Keno Davis playbook, blaming the lack of offensive talent for all the team's woes. I think at one point he said it couldn't be coached, and that "it's either there or it isn't." That may be true to some extent -- but who recruited these kids here, Bob? How about completing the sentence instead of just throwing the players under the bus? I realize they're still trying (laughably) to pump Army up with those hilarious "the buck stops here" ads, but it's a disservice to these players claiming that the problems begin and end with them. Even if they have no talent at all, they shouldn't look so utterly clueless on a 5-on-3. In fact they looked afraid to make a mistake -- which all goes back to the guy who brought them here.

What's more -- who do they think they're fooling? Army's record is EMBARRASSING. It's awful. Look at every year under Army and the same pattern is there. The last two seasons...listen I apologize for going on, but it's jaw dropping the ineptitude of his record. It's pathetic.

As always the only one who seems to get it is Mike Logan, who went through the numbers and did a great job adding a dose of reality, basically showing anyone who still doesn't recognize (Hokydad?) this team is on the fast track to Nowheresville. He also had a great stat tonight as well -- PC has 1 road win in Hockey East this season. ONE **** ROAD WIN in the conference!

The only way this situation gets worse is if Army stays on another year or two and PC makes a small, incremental step to 7th or 8th place. Then, because he's been so godawful, he (and Hokydad) can claim the "team is moving in the right direction" and they'll extend his contract until 2028.

Don't think that won't happen either...

Sad........Sad..........Sad........

I'm sure glad we got rid of all those Pooley players so Coach Tim Army could coach his selected players.

At what point do you plan on coaching?? Even better at what point do you take responsibility?? :( :( :(

The UMass announcers last night said it seemed like there "were more NHL scouts in the stands than fans." The Hockey East box score lists the attendance at 1,492, which would suggest the place was half full. Or is that half empty? ;)

At any rate, I'll guess the 1,492 number is tickets sold/distributed. Did anyone here go? Could someone comment?

As I have said before, I'd rather have a full house of fans who care, and, yes maybe critical at times, than have fans that don't care, or worse, stop showing up.

You just wait 'til next week though.

PC91 said to say hello to you dopes. He's fervently watching the March to 100.

Cox only shows half the rink, but based on what you could see, there's no way there was that number of fans in the seats.

I'm sure the 1492 is tickets sold/distributed. I can take ownership of 2 of the sold tickets. I've had season tickets since the early 80's and my dad and I are fed up with Army and his lack of coaching. We did not attend the game last night and are seriously thinking about ending our season ticket account after this season. Nothing is going to change next season, Army is bringing in 3 recruits for next season. The lack of scoring/coaching is going to be the same. Some of us that have been watching college hockey for years could coach better than this clown. The 5 on 3 last night was one of the worst 5 on 3 advantages I've seen in years. I'm sure it looked worse in person.

Judging from what Bellemore said last night looks like the players have been thrown under the bus first and foremost.

If Army really does believe that "the buck stops here" then it's well past time for him to take some responsibility. Blaming it all on the very same kids he brought in here is gutless and embarrassing. It was appalling to hear that last night.

You just wait 'til next week though.

If they get swept by UVM do we call it an elimination weekend? Because at this rate there won't even be a race for last place with The Mack on the last couple of weekends, never mind being able to reach that coveted 8th place slot.

BTW Bob Bellemore actually said if you can get to 8th place "anything can happen in the playoffs" because it's a "one game season." Bob -- you need to win a QUARTERFINAL round of 2-of-3 before that happens. Looks like he's been drinking from the same well as Hokyfraud! :p

Sadly, I think you are not alone.

I used to attend about 10 games a season and now I might make it down to 2-3 a season now. I ended up picking up Indoor Lacrosse Season Tickets at the Garden and at least you see some guys going all out and playing for the "fun" of the game.

So now you want us to believe that a bunch of 19-23 year olds are not giving it their all on the ice? I doubt that is the case

The kids are trying and for the most part busting their butts. They are not DIV 1 players and the coach s**ks. Don't you get it?
