Re: Princeton @ RPI (Saturday, 2/18/12)

Last night we played another important game and just could not score. The story of the season. One goal just will not suffice. QU is a pretty good team and they played their game. They shut down our power play(not a hard thing to do most nights) and they found a way to put 3 in. Tonight is a game we can win, could win and actually should win. It is senior night-let's have the boys finish off their home career well. To paraphrase my favorite line from Ben Hur-"Play well and Win!" (for those too young to know the line-When Charleton heston is rowing in the galley and Arias played by Jack Hawkins is reviewing the slaves, he announces to them-"We keep you alive to serve this ship-Row well and Live!":D

Now that's what I call motivation.
I guess if we hold Princeton to one goal or less, we have a shot at winning this game.
I know that this senior class wasn't our most talented, but they were a good group and I enjoyed watching all of them.
I would love to have them go out with a win.

Re: Princeton @ RPI (Saturday, 2/18/12)

last night was absolutely the worst performance by the linesmen in regards to faceoffs. And the league's worst is in the house tonight...Emanation  OFFICIALS: Saturday night’s referees are Chris Ciamaga and Joe Carusone ... The linesmen are Michael Emanatian and Justin Prusak.

Re: Princeton @ RPI (Saturday, 2/18/12)

Last night, the team seemed to play about 15 minutes. I want to hear that the team played 65 minutes! And not total between the two nights, either!

RHam, will RPI-TV be offering a live stream of the director (or at least what he/she sees/hears) tonight?

Re: Princeton @ RPI (Saturday, 2/18/12)

Sr. night & Allen York is in goal for CBJ's (as we speak) :D

unfortunately he got to face chicago just as they have put it all together again and are hot as a fire cracker. I saw them blow 4 by the NY Rangers in about 10 minutes the other night to open the first period and it seems like they are still on fire. Hopefully he will get more chances and stay up with the parent club.

Scratches are LeBoeuf, Neal, Laliberté, and Tinordi, however it is unclear as to whether Zach S or Greg B is scratched (Zach's number but Greg's name appears).

My guess is that ehy just forgot to change the number from 7 to 14. Of course, Schroeder scored the goal yesterday, so I would be surprised if he didn't play unless injured or sick.

I've been in touch with Kevin Beattie and he confirmed that it should be Schroeder and not Burgdoerfer in that right wing spot. It also appears to now be fixed on the line chart.

RPI women are at 0-0 against the Bobcats, starting the second period.

QU has gone up 1-0, 7 minutes into the second, and unfortunately Brown is currently tied with Dartmouth halfway through the second. RPI needs one more point than Brown in today's action, to make the playoffs.

Re: Princeton @ RPI (Saturday, 2/18/12)

Things are looking grim for the RPI women: now down 3-0 at the start of the third. Brown still tied with Dartmouth.
(edit: note to self: check to see if someone else has already posted),

Re: Princeton @ RPI (Saturday, 2/18/12)

Probably too little too late but the women scored at 14:28 of the third to make it 3-1 QU and have now pulled the goalie at 15:15.

Re: Princeton @ RPI (Saturday, 2/18/12)

Babstock gets a hat trick for QU to make it 4-1 at 16:21 of the third, and the RPI season is as good as over.:(
