Re: Princeton @ RPI, Friday, Nov. 14th

Hard to believe but these are RPI's last league home games for the next two months (not until January 16-17 vs. Colgate and Cornell).
Nothing less than a split would be acceptable.

BTW, it was a pleasure meeting you last weekend Ralph.

Here too.

That reminds me, sorry that I did not see you fr. joe.

Re: Princeton @ RPI, Friday, Nov. 14th

Know only a little about this Princeton team as we have only seen them in practice once. I can tell you that they are a very big team at least heightwise. But then again I got to see them mostly standing next to Jenny who is munchkin size. I did not recognize the coach on the ice with them at all. Is he new? There are 4-5 NJ kids on this team that we have seen in the past including their sophomore goaltender who played at Delbarton with our own Melanson. Although PU has not had highly ranked teams it just seems that they have given us far more trouble, especially at HFH, than we should have had with them. i would hope we can come out fast and get a lead(something that has not happened often this year). It appears that most games in the ECAC are just going to be nail biters and can easily be decided by one mistake or call by the officials. Our special teams net +/- is horrible right now both in conference and OOC. Improvement there could go a long way towards making our chances of winning much higher.

Yes, Princeton coach is new this season.

Re: Princeton @ RPI, Friday, Nov. 14th

We'll see if last year's home win was a fluke and our terrible record vs. Pricetom continues.

Re: Princeton @ RPI, Friday, Nov. 14th

Starting drinking a little early, eh? :D

Given your join date, I will explain that a number of schools have understood "misspellings" on USCHO. Most of them were based around users typing too fast in a chat room. There's Pricetom, Brom, Ylae* (the * added a few years ago when a player's eligibility was in question), Clogate, Darmouth, among others. Some of them are intentional, such as #26 Union, Clarkson (SUCKS!), SLU(t), RIP, and Hahvahd.

Not restricted to the EZAC, either; there's St, Clooud and PROVICED} as well.

Interesting if true. I'd been lurking in these forum for many years prior to joining and I don't recall encountering those misspellings before.

Re: Princeton @ RPI, Friday, Nov. 14th

Every time I look at our inexperience on the blue line, I shudder. But they have played very well up to now. Somebody is doing a good job with them.

We will need everyone on defense to have a good game. This is a rather big Princeton team and we will miss the size and presence of #5 quite a bit. Get well quickly Luke.

Re: Princeton @ RPI, Friday, Nov. 14th

Yes, Princeton coach is new this season.

Thanks-we just weren't sure if he was an assistant there or he was new. I wonder if his approach and style will be much different. Princeton over the past decade has tried to come out very fast and forecheck relentlessly for the first period. Often it put us back on our heels early, especially down here in NJ at Baker Rink.
