Princeton @ RPI, Friday, Nov. 14th

Re: Princeton @ RPI, Friday, Nov. 14th

In the end, it wasn't pretty, but they did what they had to to win. We did play hard for 60 minutes and now they need to work on their puck decisions.

Re: Princeton @ RPI, Friday, Nov. 14th

A win is a win-especially this year. But this was not a pretty effort. Wish we could keep the MNM line out there all game. They create offense and they disrupt the breakouts. Hopefully we can play better defensively tomorrow. We have to get the puck out of our zone with the first sweep-some defensemen just take too long to decide what to do and the opponent offense is in on them quickly and we end up playing around in our own end. QU is not Princeton. If we give them the same opportunities we gave away tonight, we will have a long evening.

Here's my take, feel free to disagree... I think we played reasonably decently on the offensive side, with more shots taken than any recent game that comes to mind. Defensively, we need some help. This game easily could have gone the other way... we were saved by a few lucky events which obviously can't be counted on in future games. Overall, it was a fun game to watch as we displayed a good amount of energy in most cases. And finally: GO RED!

Agree. PU hit a post in the first minute. If that goes in the game could have been very different. Too many give-aways in our zone leading to point blank shots. As DrD pointed out - play that way tomorrow and the result will be reversed.

Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in.

I was at the game and sit on the other end from where the cameras are.
PU did not in the post in the first minute. I believe it hit an area just outside the post. There wasn't a sound that would have been made if it hit the post.
Second, the no goal call was the correct call. The net was knocked off the posts at least 4-5 seconds before the puck went in. Sorry FDude. You were wrong.
We better tighten up our PK for tomorrow night. Q School went 3 for 4 against Union tonight on the PP. Let's go RED!!!

Had feeling early in 3rd when P was applying pressure in our zone that if they got a goal (given all the bounces/shots from slot they were getting) momentum would have been theirs.

Q scored with less than a minute to go in the 1st and the 3rd (GWG) to win, 4-3. Q has been playing pretty sharp hockey the last few weeks.

You do know the Michigan State rule now exists, where if the defence knocks it off, it's a good goal, right?
