Princeton @ RPI - Dec 7, 2013

Re: Princeton @ RPI - Dec 7, 2013

That fifth goal just seemed to take all the air out of Princeton-we have to take advantage and get one more before they recover.

Doc, I can't tell you how much I admire this Princeton team. They are short handed short on talent, and they have played every shift. No give up on these guys.

Very glad they did not call LeBeef for a hit to the head-that was a good smack

Re: Princeton @ RPI - Dec 7, 2013

Liau has been a pain in the butt against us for the first two periods. He has forechecked us into mistakes. We have to give him a good shot or two and stop him from rapidly heading into the zone. But after 2 periods-RPI leads 5-2

Re: 5-2 rpi

This one is not over by any means-Princeton scored 3 late goals against Quinnipiac earlier this year to win 4-3. Need to play smart and hopefully we have learned how to play the third period with a lead and close this out. Losing leads in the third has cost us at least 3 wins this year.

Judging by the first two periods, Princeton won't make it easy. I just don't think that they have the talent right now. Got a be glad that Calof is not playing.

3-0 QU on PP. This women's team is a bit perplexing. In terms of skating, stick skills and fundamental play they seem as good as any team we've had, but they don't generate many scoring chances.

The starting goalie for them Colton Phinney was at Delbarton before coming to Princeton-we saw a lot of him. He is just adjusting to the NCAA-in a couple years this kid will be tough.

3-1. Mahoney after beautiful play by Gruschow to deke defenseman out of position and center into another scramble in front of net.
