Brown....isn't that the college in Mendota Heights where all the radio guys get their degree?

Or maybe even build the Imperial Palace and make millions upon millions of dollars...nah, no one from UND could do that.

Pardon me for being a hater, but don't Yale and Cornell seem to be significantly overrated. I'm speaking of Cornell for last year. They start out ranked highly in the preseason and proceed to lose too few games to validate shutting them out from the tourney (at least for those biased toward them) They play such an easy schedule thanks to being in the ecac. Please Hockey elites, make them earn their ranking. This will in effect allow more deserving teams into the tourney. Contests against proven teams are too few and far between to justify their ranking.

A) "Rankings" don't matter so I'm not going to worry about it too much. I'll care about the PWR and nothing else, where they do have to EARN what they get and we don't see garbage based mostly on preseason rankings and how the season affects those (hello Bowl Championship Series, you POS).

B) Absolutely for Cornell (exception being their 2003 team which was the real deal and got hosed in Buffalo against UNH). Put Cornell goalies in that camp as well. The problem is any ECAC team with a high preseason ranking will play in a weak league and "validate" that ranking all year until it's tournament time (where their system fails them time and again if you're talking about Cornell).

C) Let's give Yale a chance before we put them in the Cornell category. They will play a different type of game and that gives them better chance for success in the postseason IMO.

Especially when the team they play in the NCAA's is drunk and wearing suits made out of paper.

I thouht that speech was after the game started. **** happens i guess :rolleyes:. Miami can totally skake with BC....righhhhhht.

You're confusing your epic speeches from Blasi. There was a pregame speech in which he stole lines from Herb Brooks and added other classics in there like "this is our arena, we established that the other day" (in practice?) and "We're the best team and everyone in this room knows it... everyone on this coaching staff knows it... and everyone in this building knows it."

There was also a first intermission speech where he gave the classic "they can't skate with us" not once, but twice IIRC.

Both got the Miami players clapping. I made a nice clip of it but the stupid program I was using ruined it. I'll have to fix it up again and get that up on youtube.

I'm sure Blasi will give us more epic speeches in the future that will confuse us all even more (it will only get worse when he leaves hockey to become a motivational speaker).

Yale was the only team I saw that was as fast as BC. If they have that same speed this year, and perhaps a new goalie;), they will do well.
